Minardi fan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Things appear to be going from bad to worse for everyone's favourite mint green team. After their worst race weekend yet, when the Minardis once again were faster than the Jags in the race, what can they do to turn it around???

Answer on a postcard please.

If Irvine convices Jag staff that last year he almost get in the points with a three wheels Ferrari, Jag may follow the same strategy this year.

Better seven than ten or worse.

What amazes me completely is that a "paint-job" and a "new name" can change a team so dramatically???
Stewarts wear new clothes and the car goes kaput!!!

puzzling?

As Clive James once said about the works Renault team in the early eighties -

' They look all weighed down with been up to date '

I think it has been a combination of things.

The marketing people have gone crazy with the persona and image of the team, with huge paddock motorhome and all the branding at the British GP. This seems to have distracted the team from what it should be doing, which is racing !!!!

Also I think Cosworth, have slipped behind the others on the engine front and attempts to gain more performance has affected reliablity, which has a knock on effect in finding the true performance of the car.

At the start of the season the Jag looked truly awful to drive. It seems to have improved a bit since.

Now that Ford are putting all its might behind it I guess it will have two possible effects. Accelerate the performance of the car (building a new wind tunnel) or weigh it down with more corporate structure slowing progress further - we shall see...
