Interesting race there, no-one could run with Matt at the end of the race.
Great work by Carl to make his way through the field, and standard poor luck for Juan. The only other note I have is I was hoping for a solid result by Front Row Joe but he just couldn't run with him after his (I'm presuming) two tyre stop near 2/3rds distance. I concur, good run by Marcos. |

I missed the race due to it starting at midninght our time. Silly really as I was wide awake until 2am... now I'm annoyed!
Well done to Marcos, I hope he starts scoring a few good results, else our Australian friends are going to be feeling really let down by their countrymen overseas. Again How many races is Kenseth running this year? I know he's not doing all the races but, at this rate, he could still be right up there in the points come the end of season! |

Ambrose is now in the top ten drivers position and still the first rookie. Ambrose started the first race at the back and worked his way to 16th (planned). This race again at the back and worked his way to 25 (unplanned). Ambrose has shown that he can run with the big boys during qualifying, work his way up and overtake, not making any mistakes during the race and keeping his nose clean. Well done. Missed the race due to bad connection speed and ultimately, the computer crashing!
But that sounds like Ambrose did a hell of a job! He's doing very well thus far you have to say. Wonder if Montoya will get a break in Mexico.... |

Ambrose was indeed running his B car. The car hasn't been driven and setup for the race. Apparently tuning was a h3ll, couldn't tune the car properly since all tuning was done during pit stops.

Good run by Kenseth. Casey Mears would have probably overtaken him though if there had been 3 or 4 laps left. Leffler made a mistake and it resulted in him taking out Montoya.

Marcos is really doing a great job, although he's started at the back both times, he's done well to keep out of trouble and get the finishes under his belt. To be 10th in the points already is good going. Really looking forward to seeing how he goes in Mexico, hopefully we'll see a bit more of him on the TV coverage.
JPM's been unlucky, though he seemed to be struggling a bit all day in both the Nextel and Busch cars. Again it'll be interesting to see how Mexico goes for him - hope he gets a bit of luck there. |

Great example of this: Kevin Harvick - 2006 Busch Series champion while competing full time in Nextel Cup. |

Marcos spun his "A" car in qualifying, hence didn't record a time and started from the rear in his "B" car, which with the race an hour after qualifing wasn't set up for the race at all, a great effort to finish where he did!
He' now placed second of the Busch series only drivers, the first 8 places in the championship are drivers who normally run the Nextel cup. |

If anyone has NASN/Setanta, they're showing this race 'tape delayed' right now. A nice surprise

Yes, got it on now. They have missed a few laps out but it's no different to MotorsTV in that regard. What is different is the picture quality - we are getting a nice HD-ish picture as opposed to the old Motors grain-o-vision.
So from hating NASN, I now am desperately in love with them. They can double my subscription fee if they want! |
