OK, here I go again... Kenny was doing his best to fight for excellent positions with a bike that even engineers agree is not up to the task (they seem to have probs delivering power coming out of a corners- and they're a bit short in power department as well). From what I gather Kenny had a tyre problems in the first race (I remember hearing Randy saying something like 'Oh my God, look at a size of gash on Kennys tyre' after he came into the paddock).
BTW, does anyone has Welkom race on a tape? I could swear I saw a glimpse of an Italian elbow when Capirossi moved on Abe (unfortunately they showed no slo-mo of that manoevre). |

Kenny seemed to be doing very well until what I'd assume was tyre problems again dropped him down the field. I don't think the bike is as bad as you make it out, but it isn't as good as the other bikes out there, except the Pulse.
And Biaggi is only equal 3rd. |

alex criville never "whinged" last year as defending world champ about the honda........havent heard kenny whinge as such, maybe kenny would have a gripe if he had a decent team-mate like mat mladin who was getting better results than himself........what do suzuki expect, they have a sh*t moto gp team and wsbk team, they deserve all they get!

What a surprise, lets all think. Are you an Aussie by any chance?
Mat Mladin was total ****e in GPs on a Cagiva and I mean total ****e. He is racing in AMA because he can live off it for the rest of his life. It is the ****e WSB/GP riders retirement home. As far as Suzuki, I do agree that Gibernau needs a wallop and the WSB outfit can not get the bike right for Chili. But Roberts is a class act and to watch him at Welkom was a lesson for any bike racer on a slow bike. Get a good start, lead, and use corner speed and explosive acceleration to stay in front. If you think Mladin would do any better then you are very disillusioned. He had his chance and blew it |

Well Chunder I'm an Aussie and agree Kenny is a class act.
Bit unfair on Mladin though, he was fast tracked onto a 500 at the age of 21. Too much too soon. And not the best bike and with no direction from the team. He deserves his success now. Is he riding for the money - probably. I don't think the AMA Championship is for the Shyyyte riders at all. Bostrum is holding his own in the Supers. |

total bs chunder, cagiva had won 1 gp when mladin got on the bike at 20 years of age, as if he was going to be a team leader at such an age....."i said that i havent heard kenny whinge yet",
maybe kenny should whinge about getting a descent team-mate or maybe a 3rd bike out there where they can get descent test results..... as for the superbike team, i stand by what i said, chambon will never cut it. |

Kenny is class act
It was good to see him up from (at least for a while) I was looking at the lap times and (from memory) kenny was running consistent mid 1'36's during the first 2/3's of the race. Val was runninghte same times (obviously he was right behind him) but then in the last third droped into the high 35's. Plus fastest lap last lap (again). By this time kenny was in the 37's and just trying to stay ahead of the fright trian that was comming from behind. He rode the best race he could and didn't chuck it down the road (got some points). Unfortunatly I can't say the same for McCoy Respect due to number 56 (again) those who know me will understand why Anyway If the motogo.com site ever comes back online, check out the data (especially the progressive lap times) its really quite interesting! |
