Yep and as said in the other thread, Ernesto Viso in at RE.
So 2 drivers with prior race winning experience of the category return to mix it up with season front runner Glock. There's been a big gap since the last round so could that have effected momentum - it'll be almost like the season's starting all over again for some people. Big question ahead of qualy are can I-sport maintain their edge. Can ART find some much needed form to kick start their championship challenge. Is Senna really a title possibility and perhaps the biggest question of all was Maldonado's stunning display at Monaco a flash in the pan? Almost as important is how do we think the 2 Venezuelans will cope should they find themselves in the proximity of one another on the circuit? And also can Mike Conway survive a meeting without totalling his car? Not long to go to find out..... |

Will Andi ZUber keep the momentum up? He was, and still is my pre-season favourite, and might have found the speed at last.

At the moment, Zuber acts as a No.2 for Glock, hope to be wrong, but that is reflected by results.

Well I guess it's one of those difficult to analyse inter team jobs:
How quick ultimately is Glock cos we know he's at least fast? so if Zuber is relatively close to him that must also mean he's half decent? Or is the car so well engineered that both drivers are able to exploit it fully? |

Zuber has always been decent IMO, he was a race winner last year at Turkey and the previous year was a winner in WSR, but he seems to have been so unlucky this year compared to Glock who has racked up the points. I'm also interested to see if Fillipi can show the pace he did in Bahrain too. And it's good for the series having Carroll and Viso in, should shake up the front runners nicely.

Welcome back Adam. Entirely predictable conclusion to Pizzonia's season (career?) sadly.

Filippi can do great things I presium, last year Lopez (in Luca's car) won Pole position. Fact, Super Nova's qual set-up was way better than their race one... but still, he finished third. We'll see I presium first two rows for one of Nova's cars.
Glock won last year, he should actaspre-race favourite. |

If David Sears' team is truly back to front running best, then they will need to ensnare a real ace for next season to maximise that potential. As for Glock, I don't think anyone's doubting that he's the pre race favourite. However, couple of interesting additions to the entry, a pumped up teammate, and of course that 5 week gap between races means there more people gunning for him this weekend. Might not be that simple. |

Well the poleman's not a surprise but Roldan's a bit of a fly in the ointment there then!
I have to say Bruno's done better that I expected and so has Di Grassi? Nice to see Maldonado maintaining some form. Carroll and Viso bit further down just goes to show how difficult it is to step into these things and get on the pace. |

BCN still at the back. Why don't they call López or Guerrieri for a one-off??? This in order to check if it's actually the team or not the cause of the debacle.

Cause Lopez does TC2000 with unbacked, semi-factory Honda. Just signed deal, any details?

Yes, he has a clause to return into some international series (like GP2 Series) if he has the chance to do it.
Norberto Fontana did exactly that in 2001, when he did some F3000 races although he had (still has) a contract with Toyota TC2000 team. |

Oh dear...iSport's take each out in the most ridiculous start of all time, and a very nasty crash for Viso on the first lap. The front of the monocoque was pointing at a different angle to the back section with Viso still in the car.

Wow, that was an utterly HILARIOUS start.
However, what happened to Viso was not. Lots of Youtube material already. |

Jesus!
Forget the start line nonsense, there's been an almighty prang involving an RE car launching over the back of Ammermuller and over the concrete barrier on the run from the hairpin down to those Esses.... Suspected it's Viso, I hope he's alright...... |
