Test Drive Unlimited 2
Like TDU1, but with a bigger island, better graphics, day/night, weather, bigger boobs, better handling, its all in there!

I loved the first one, even though it wasnt realistic but just so much fun. TDU2 will have both Ibiza and Oahu from the TDU but Oahu will be unlocked from level 10 ingame. I'm really looking forward to this I'm just hoping it doesnt get delayed.
Second trailer should be coming soon. |

The original was frickin' awesome.
This looks to be even better. All I'd say is make the physics more realistic, as most people playing it are those kinds of people I'd say. Interesting they've picked up with the whole idea of the "living the luxury life" thing. That, and just cruising around in yer car was a bigger gameplay element for me than the races in it. Didn't like that much, if I wanted races, I'd play rFactor/Race 07 etc. |

Yeah it was nice to be able to just cruise without racing all the time. One of my favourite parts of TDU was just driving flat out through traffic and seeing how long I could go without crashing and getting the cops all interested.

Oh man, yeah. The scenery and some of the roads in Oahu were awesome!

Can't wait to try out these new Oahu offroad routes too, i'm hoping for some Safari Rally style blasts through the open country.
Driving a DB4 or a Gullwing Merc through the mountains is the most relaxing thing you can do. |

Sadly this has been delayed until 'early 2011' whatever that means, hopefully they release it in January. Such a shame about the delay, I was really looking forward to this and it wasnt that far off.

I got/have the first TDU and really enjoyed it, tho the bumpy/glitchy roads launching cars into the air at high speeds became a bit annoying, but still good fun.
Really looking forward to TDU2, and whilst it was good to be getting close to the release date, I'd rather they took longer and brought out a better game at the end of the day. Hopefully the next beta news will be the announcement of an open beta (I participated in the beta for TDU1), so they can squish more bugs than the current closed beta. Quite suprised that (so far, from what I've read), none of the big superclubs are in the game for Ibiza, I would have thought from a) a realism, scenery and mission point of view they would have been a definate inclusion. The "give me a ride to xxx " type missions in TDU1 would suit that sort of thing . Picking up some rich model/celeb/DJ from their villa, and running them to one of the big clubs etc. b) from the clubs advertising , would have been a freebie! |

So who else is getting this?
Apparently it comes out on the 8th is US and here in Australia on the 10th which is when Europe get it too (or so I've been told). Gameinformer give it a 8.5/10 OXM Magazine 7/10 |

I was interested but the release is too close to Shift 2 to justify a purchase at full price.

Well I have this. When I get to play it I don't know.
I am expecting a glitchy, 6/10 experience and still am busy completing a couple of games, with the likes of Red Dead, Batman, Mass Effect 2 and numerous arcade games still untouched. So perhaps I won't get into it properly for a month or so, by which time any glitches will be smoothed over. Hopefully. Will have a quick dash on it tomorrow to get a peek at it. |

Apparently, its a load of crap, having issues with permanently being online so all users are "on the island" together.
I will reserve judgement till i have played it............ |

I like the instruction manual. It's a minor point, but to have a full colour manual that is also more than two pages long is good. Not seen that for a long time.

TDU 2 is a good game. The only thing I want the developers to sort out is the server space!!!!!! I can chat to my mates in a XBL party but can only play "Offline" mode

Have had a quick go on it and, thus far, I have to say I like it a lot! Seems fairly solid too.
The acting and script is terrifying though. And unskippable. |

Is the handling as Arcadey as has been mentioned on the web? I have the original and it was borderline twitchy for me.

I can't remember much about the first game, so find it difficult to draw comparisons. I haven't played it in four years.
This one seems alright. It is challenging as you get faster cars, and you do get caught out now and again, but it's pretty nice to drive. The off road driving is good too. There are three settings of handling difficulty too, I have only tried sports thus far though which is the intermediate setting. |

For me hardcore is actually the bets setting, sport (the only other one I tried) seems to be too messy to have fun with! Even with all the aids off the cars still grip like Araldite on velcro with the occasional tail slide if you provoke them enough...

Will give it a whirl sometime.
Got to Hawaii today. Weird having two islands to get 100% road discovery on. Daunting in fact. |
