Feel bad for Jason Doyle but congrats to
Greg Hancock for his 4th World Championship.
Top drawer stuff all year. Not to bad for a 46 year
old!

I have been to rugby matches at Cardiff and Melbourne, and never imagined they would host speedway races.
Cardiff with the roof closed would be like a 1/4 mile version of Bristol. Their pitch used to be terrible, when I went in 2000 there were about 15 blades of grass and 600 m2 of sand. The atmosphere at a Wales versus England rugby game is something special. I have seen a Welshman run across the road and head butt the England team bus and knock himself out cold in the process. He didn't even spill his kebab.

I can't remember much about Melbourne, British Lions tours tend to get a bit messy, but I am definitely sure I was there.
That stadium must hold a record for the most sports played on it. Cricket, Soccer, Australian Rules Football, Rugby League, Rugby Union, and Speedway.

Do you guys in the states have speedway? You love motor bikes and going fast and turning left, I thought you would be all over it.

Here is a link to the Speedway tracks in the
US.https://www.speedwaybikes.com/tracks/index.htm

10 or so in California, 1 in NY and 1 in Indiana.
So its a sport that is covered only in California pretty much.

I have never seen a racing news program ever cover a story
on Speedway racing here in the US. Its one of the few
motorsports that has used the same equipment for the
past 70 years or so. No brakes, one gear , no fear is
speedways motto.
