Croft Formula Renault Race Predictions

Right, we've had five days of testing, and now we finally have a race at Croft.
In testing yesterday it was:
1) Watts (1:18.379)
2) Hamilton
3) Davison
4) Turkington
5) Green

9 within a second

So predictions, please, for pole position time, how many will be within a second in qualifying, and the top five for the race.

I'll start with:

1) Watts
2) Hamilton
3) Green
4) Davison
5) Long

Pole: 1:17.912
12 within a second

Welcome to North Yorkshire. It'll probably have rained by the end of tomorrow.

Well, the top five in qualifying were:

1) Watts 1:18.397 (as opposed to the .379 in testing)
2) Davison +0.005
3) Hamilton +0.008
4) Green +0.019
5) Lloyd +0.133

15 within a second.

How close are those times? Watts reckons he can go faster though, so the rest will be hoping he doesn't get away at the start!
Nobody got the pole time right, but MrTTRaces was right that 15 would be within a second.
What a great day for the weather! Let's hope it holds out for tomorrow, and there'll be some packed spectator bankings at Croft!

Wow, did I get the top 5 correct? Apologies, still recovering from last night.

Remember last year's first bend: Watts and Antinucci collided. Watts got away with it and Antinucci spun off. Anything can happen, particularly with the times so close.

Mr Jinxx should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Result:

1. Watts
2. Green
3. Davison
4. Lloyd
5. Bell

The Fortec cars were about half a second a lap quicker than anyone else. Alex Lloyd clobbered the tyres at the chicane on lap 11/12 and knocked his tracking out, but managed to hang on to 4th. Lewis Hamilton spun whilst in 4th place, just before the hairpin, trying to chase Will Davison, rejoined in 6th and stayed there. Other than that, no real incidents in the race. The top 8 in the championship were the top 8 in the race, so no major surprises or movements.
