The above was posted in response to something I wrote in another thread. It prompted me to look for quotes and I found one. I also found a "reported quote" (different thing).

So without wishing to inflame any kind of argument I thought it might be useful to put up a thread dedicated to the great mans's actual verbal contribution to the wonderful world of F1.

Yah, we're still waiting Peter and by the way his name is spelled Jacques, or is your constant mispelling of his name another subtle swipe? As you search for these phantom 'quotes' I think you'll be surprised that most of what you've supposedly heard are from sources other than JV himself. Usually the media, artfully spinning their own story usually out of context from excerpts of an interview or two.... or from Mr. Richards of course.

This thread was actually opened to do exactly what you wanted. Find and place actual quotes from the "horses mouth" as it were.

Agreed it was late last night when I posted the thread but I had tried for a while to find a few choice words but all I could find were those I posted in the other thread and a response to something he was reported as saying, from Jenson Button.

I can't believe it really.

I was cynical at first about a Jacques comeback, but after you watch through the old seasons you can't help but be captivated by his electric driving style and his superb comments.

I admit, I forgot what Jacques was all about during 2003. He was awful last year, but I want him back to erase that memory.

And I want him to return badly.

Actually a Schuey quote just crossed my mind from Monza 2001 about jacques, which was quite funny albeit a cheap shot. But this is a thread for Jacques quotes, not Mickey!
