Me too, although it's unclear whether I can make it yet... depends on car situation. Fingers crossed...

Now 17 single-seaters (still no sign of your entry Dave?) and 20 Caterhams.

A couple of changes to the original regs:
- Races will be 15 minutes each, not 10 laps
- There are no official timekeepers, so grids will be selected and not based on untimed qualifying

I stand corrected and apologise for churning out rubbish as you term it.

Out of interest how can two races per category be put on for about £ 100 per entry on Decemebr 26th but it costs anything between £295 and £350 the rest of the year?

AB.

As posted after last years meeting. Was Arty B correct after all?

Correct about what? Timekeepers were there last year as this link shows: http://www.graduates.org.uk/2004/Plu...%20Results.pdf

Not sure why no timekeepers this year - I suspect that is down to New Era rather than BARC. Also I've yet to discover how the grids will be 'selected'.

No timekeepers? Now this could be fun, deciding who the winner is.

Dave, if you go to www.barc.net and navigate to 'Regions', then 'Midland Centre' it should be on there. Drop me a PM if you have any probs.

Not that I can see at the moment, but it has been known to be cancelled due to bad weather: ice on the track, that sort of thing.

Well I hope not, I'm leaving about 6am because it's a 3 hour drive, I won't be happy if I get there and it's been cancelled.

Chaps, you'll be pleased to know that there is no ice or frost forecast in this area so we should be OK for tomorrow!

Hmm! I thought everyone knew me! Ah well.

For the record, I was the Chief Assembly Marshal (the one with the flashing Reindeer earrings!). I'm ususally the Chief Pit Marshal but as you know Mallory doesn't have a pitlane ....

Anyway, during the summer months I usually arrive on the broomstick, which is normally parked in the garages!

So, now you know, next time you can come and say hello!

Forgot to add - what a cracking couple of races from the Single Seater Chaps and Chapesses!

I was well impressed at young "Rossi" giving old hand Ray Rowan a run for his money in the second race, finishing only 0.21 seconds behind Ray. I'm sure that had the race been the full 15 minutes instead of the shortened version due to the earlier red flag Rossi would have won. Still, a creditable performance from this young man on his first car race meeting ever.

I, and several others, will be watching his progress with great interest!
