Anglesey entry list
So it's been released! Nice to have it a bit early for change!
Not many supermods there, although I spose we havn't reached the closing date yet! And who would be stupid enough to use a Nova in BTRDA Stockhatch? |

Yeah, will be an interesting day for sure. Must admit i had a nightmare event last year, so hoping for something better this time round.
I speak to Ryhdian quite often and his car was rebuilt by a local college over the winter as a project for them, it will be a good compairson of the cars as i haven't raced against another metro before in stocks. Still a lot of big names missing of the list though.. si |

Two Metros and only one Fiesta
Hal, it's not going to be a pink Nova is it? Mike, are you not racing at Anglesey, or is it an administrative error? |

I though your saxo ran very well indeed, certainly looked to be on the pace. U, me and gareth had a good old race in 1 of the heats.
I did think u had stollen it fresh of the forecourt though, looked absolutely mint!! |

Just spoken to the entry secretary, MJ1, and the entry relates to Simon Jones, in a BTRDA Supermodified Mini, no. 21. So just an administration thing.
The closing date for entries is Thursday, and some of the classes are almost full so it looks like reserves again. It shows the importance of getting your entries in early. It is easier to enter early and withdraw, than try and enter late and be disappointed. Provided you advise the entry sec in writting that you wish to withdraw it will not cost you anything. If any driver has a query about the entry list, they should contact the entry sec, she won't bite! |

Not sure about Simon Jones, but he has been a member throughout the last few years, so it is possible.

Its not the final list, they will be there!
I belive the Mods are Running with Stocks in the BTRDA. I'll be well impressed if any of 'our lot' can beat Asa to the first corner! |

Hi everyone
I'm the other Metro owner in the Stockhatch class. Yes it was the original Metro won in the CCC. It was re-shelled over the winter as a project for the college that help me (it's now Red instead of Yellow). (The deal is they do all the work and I pay for everything.) When I won the original Yellow Peril my ambition was to compete in every round of the ch'ship and really give the ch'ship as much support as possible but I was made redundant two days after I won the car. It's been a major struggle since. I feel I've really let the side down by not competing. Since then I've only really been able to do sporadic races as and when funds became available. Excuses, excuses I know but that's the state of play. I can understand why Mike Dresser is so ****ed off with me. But I'll be at Anglesey and hopefully one more this year with the view to ramping up things in 2007. The problem is that I live in London, the car is in North wales and I have to hire everything to get the car about (trailer, van, mechanics, accommo, the list goes on). Simon and I are in regular contact and I'm looking forward to see how our two metro's compare. Simon's had the opportunity to develop his Metro whereas as mine is as I won it (save for it being re-shelled). It'll be interesting to see how much difference there is in the perfomance. I think it'll come down to the driver in the end. Although I've done a track day and some local races at Anglesey I've never actually been on the RallyX circuit so I'm looking forward to that too. But hat times can't really tell the story.
We all know that Julian and Rod make up loads of time on the loose and in the corners, getting off the line is surly only a small part of that? Obvioulsy they may be faster over a race distance, but maybe not off the line! |

Wow, thanks for the interest people!!!!!
I think it depends on certain circuits really, at Blyton the other weekend we destroyed the times set by Stockhatches, without trying. As seen in 2004 Adrian did well in the Saxo against the modifieds when he entered that class at Pembrey. In my defence at Pembrey, it may have been noted that i was stuck behind an Escort on the loose sections, which then went like a missile on the tarmac! It was my first event in the car in its current spec The mapping of the ecu isnt really finished, only revving to 7300 instead of 8000rpm And it was my 1st meeting since Brands 2004! Not excuses, just plausable points. Also, all modifications done to my car are legal!! |
