B M M C Annual General Meeting

For those of you who don't already know, the AGM of the BMMC will be held at Mallory Park this coming Sunday, 11th December at 2pm.

We will be there, how many of you are going?

Yes please, Here's a question, why does a Marshals Club have it's AGM's (National & Midland Centre) on days when Marshals are Marshalling? Answers on a postcard please.

...and so close to Christmas - I know it's got to be in the off season but weekends this time of year are already scarce.

Can't say for National, but I will certainly bring your question up at the next meeting of the Midlands Region Committee.

Can not say for the national but for the midland region its a mid week evening in November so if there is a clash then it is either something we don't know about or it does not happen every year

Fair point, I missed the Midland Region one @ Donny through being abroad with my job, but yesterday with a rally only 35 miles away wasn't well thought out.

For the last "N" years the BMMC AGM has always been held early in December.

We need to have it at a weekend to enable as many membrs as possible to attend and so choose a date that looks like it will be firly quiet on the motorsport front.

Unfortunately we cannot now find a day when there is zero motorsport in the country - especially as motorsport calendars change constantly.

Just so you can plan ahead the proposed AGM date for 2006 is 10th December.

Chris,

Can we proffer some apologies for 10th December 2006 then ?

This date has been known for several weeks as the date of the MEM Rolltek Malton Stages (Pickering), and on previous form there are numerous BRMC members, Regional Rally Reps, and BRMC National Officers committed to this event in one capacity or another.
(1 x Chief Marshal, 1 x Stage Commander, several x MSA Safety & Medical Radio, and several x Timekeepers)

I'll arrange for Andy Baker to place on the next BRMC National Committee Meeting with a view to discussing an alternative date for the 2006 BRMC AGM, afterall there is no reason why this has to be on the same day - it's just been convenient the last few years.
