I'd say they haven't got the new spoilers done up yet? Are the VZ ones different in any way?

Ah, i doubt it was a protest...i don't think he would get that much attention on a private test day - especially if the car was still running with Mobil 1 signage elsewhere on the car.
If you look closer, it is a VY as well. The livery is of last years on the bonnet - whilst the front VY bumper hasn't been painted yet. |

i was reading up on holden motorsport.com and it said that toddler would be testing his new car on monday (yesterday) so that is clear. but why skaifey is driving his older car is beyond me. its probably something really simple....

I was about to post that it's a VY, luck I read the other posts. Pretty easy to tell.
Glad someone picked it up early. HRT RULZ - the car Skaifey tested would be one of the new cars just with the VY front. I believe the older cars got handed down to KRT. |

Both were driving VZ's, interesting that courtney and richards were both testing too. Both only got 10 laps but courtney was almost half a second quicker than richards. That above pic must of been another spoiler.

And why in your right mind would you run your new 05 car at the AGP meeting - good chance it would get torpedoed in a non points event!

yeah seems strange, seton did damaged one a couple of years back at the agp when it rained, 2 weeks later he was a victim of the turn 8 at adelaide.

It is riskie to run a brand new car at the AGP, but with so little test days, teams have very little choose these days but to run the best stuff!!

heres the official test info. from the pictures there, it seems that skaifey must have had an off OR james courtney was driving too so he probably drove skaifeys car and had an off. one or the other! |

My spy tells me that HRT started the test with the Skaife car in VY configuration (unstickered red splitter) to do some back-to-back aero testing against Todd's car with the VZ package. Skaife's car was swapped to VZ around lunchtime - bonnet, headlights and splitter replaced - to complete the afternoon session.
Spy says the team didn't find any real difference from VY to VZ - as you'd expect. |

that could be it! not that hrt would have much choice as to which they would prefer.

can they do that, wouldnt that be testing 3 cars? thus causing restriction on future testing
otherwise FPR could rock up at 6 test to lunch, then britek could test from 12 to 6pm |
