Being new to marshaling can someone tell me how long before an event you get the details of whats happening. I've volenteered for both of these and have not heard is this the norm or are they just trying to tell me something

Tickets and instructions are normally sent out about a week before the event, depending on the organising club etc. If you get to the Wednesday before the meeting and have heard nothing, then contact the Chief Marshal for the event who should be able to help.

First of all welcome to the marshalling scene

depends which club you belong to.
if its the brdc marshal's club you should get a season pass if it has not arrived then you should get in touch with Pam Dearn

I can tell you the sign on time will be 7 30 am in the paddock bar (next to the diner) for brdc marshals
may see you there just look out for the loud table in the diner
