917Addicted should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Laptimes

I want to compare the performance of the 3 single-seater series that are a chamber to F1 (or what are ment to be).

So, does anyone know any laptimes at the same tracks for the F3000 Lolas, F Nissan and F Renault V6? Maybe will get a view to what is the best

The best and the quiqkest is not allways the same... the quiquer is F Nissan, then 3000 and then renault, but take in account the cost of the seasson, and the amount of F1 teams playing attention to it.

At Donington this year a Euro 3000 car, Gianmaria Bruni set a timew of 1:23.723, over 2 seconds quicker than a F Renault V6, Jose-Maria lopez, 1:25.888, and Lewis Hamilton set a time of 1:33.202 in a F Renault. In 2002 Robbie Kerr posted a time of 1:27.625. This year the F3 did not run on the big circuit, so i have inly got the 2002 results.

alonso11 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

I'm not convinced that the Nissan is quicker than F3000.The Nissan engine is inferior to the Zytek so the top speed and the acceleration is slower then it is in F3000 but in Nissan WS they use ground-effect bodywork so the Nissan-Dallara's corner-speed is faster. The Nissan laptimes are sometimes slightly faster (-0.3sec on A1-Ring ; -0.7sec in in Magny-Cours) sometimes slighty slower (+0.5sec in Monza),but in Nissan they have 3 free pracitces and 2 qualifying sessions as opposed to the 1 free practice and 1 qualifying session that F3000 offers for its drivers and that's about 3-4 times more tracktime. So all in all we can guess that with ground-effect bodywork and more tracktime the F3000 laptimes would be convincingly faster than the Nissan WS' laptimes.

But as Morcilman says :

Indeed.A couple of tenth of a second doesn't make a series better than another.Mostly the driver line-up determines the level of the competition (good drivers are in all-three series but Nissan offered the bigest grids this year) and its also very important that how many track is in the calendar how many of them host F1 a Formula1 Grand Prix (in term of this F3000 is the best), how much tracktime you get to practice (in term of this the Nissan WS is the best), how modern is the electronics in the car (in term of this Renault v6 is the best), how similar is the car's handling to the handling of an F1 car, how closley do the F1 teambosses follow it, etc., etc.

The 3000 and the nissan raced at the A1 Ring, they said in Spain that the Nissan was faster, Can anybody confirm that? I dont know the fact, I know what they aniounced. The Nissan car is less powerfull, but its got a better chassis, better tires and a lot of ground effect, wich makes it a lot more effective in corners.

I was trying to compare only the laptimes, not their level of competition against each other.

But thanks for the replies
