Tris should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Are Ferrari still an essentially Italian team?

Personally I would say not any more. Although the team is located in Italy it has adopted the English mentality that in necessary to succeed in F1. They had to get JT to sort out the infrastructure and now the vast majority of key personnel are English. It would appear that Ferrari’s Italian façade is a thin veneer on what appears to be essentially English team. (By that I mean methodologies.)

Any opinions?

I don't think they are an Italian team on the whole, but the mechanics are mostly Italian, i think. I remember in Estoril when I went to the Winter tests, the Ferrari oits were always the most cheerful, with the mechanics working to loud music and generally acting crazy... mostly in the evenings... and you sure didn't see that in McLaren!

The spirit is still italian, the mind no more...

I don't think that it really matters. All teams have people from almost everywhere, and F1 expresses what we call globalization... In the present situation, Germans must be proud because they have a world champion, and Italians are crazy because Ferrari has a champion. The british folks should be proud because Ross Brawn is a master and the french guys because Jean Todt is a great team chief... uhn, did I forget anyone ? That guy who serves the coffee is from Chipre ?
