A link.http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/54691
I suppose now that Schumi is retiring they really don't have a choice. |

It was bad before as well, the stands Hockenheim looked half full. Then you look at the last DTM race there last year and a sell out!

Well the DTM is as German as it gets, so good attendance is to be expected I suppose.
I think a German GP would stand a better chance of a full house if it had just one race. People cannot afford to go to two races with the admission prices standing at six million pounds nowadays. So this can only be good. |

Nope. Nelson Angelo Piquet was born in Heidelberg, Germany. His father is brazilian and his mother is dutch. He has german citizenship, though he opted to use his brazilian citizenship.

This will work in the short term, as both circuits have already invested enough to make the circuits up to standard, and Germany has a vibrant racing scene of its own to ensure that the tracks are in regular use. The trouble is, safety and other standards will change over time, forcing the circutis to make investments on which the return would be marginal. I can't see this working for more than 10 years - eventually they will have to concentrate on one circuit.
