BeeJ should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Does this mean that it has happened ?

With the formation of the new forum does this mean there has been an official announcment ?

No, not yet, but I think it's imminent.

Kool. I may get some interest back into American Open Wheel Racing which I lost after the split.

Either that or we just don't care what he thinks.

Lets just hope that joining 2 currently unintersting series, doesn't just create one larger uninteresting series.

It doesn't just need a merger, but new ideas too.

Lets get

I think if more racing forums did this it be a good thing, both the fans of Champ Car and IRL need to unite and push for this and not worry about the details of where were racing and with what.

Lets get this part done first and worry about the tracks and cars later. Don't get me wrong they are just as important, but so many times they talked of merging and so many times the fans have been screwed.

Like I have been saying: Just fix it!

I don't care who takes the credit - or doesn't, just fix it.

new ideas?
well how about an open rule set like can-am
single element wings on ovals all of them. and Indy should have thinner tires

and allow any engine combo, 2.65 T XFE vs. Honda N/A (the Cosworth would kill it) or allow the old Honda Turbos, they fit the formula the XFE has.
put the engine in front or the back...

what would be so hard? the Panoz LMP-01 did it in the streets real well against the mighty Audi and it harrassed them everywhere, if Panoz had the resourced audi had perhaps it would be closer.

use the LeMans P1 rule book but keep it open wheel and the cars at 1500 to 1600 Lbs. and follow the engine combos and run Methanol or Ethanol.
use Offy motors again what the hell

I don't see why this would be so hard to allow for- the manufacturers may stray but cosworth can help here. and if you allow any motor there would be great combos.

one series with greater innovation adn sounds and shapes than any other would be awesome and in a fast race format vs. enduros is just awesome. (i love the Audi R10 at LongBeach and the mighty Corvettes just great sounds and speeds)

Innovation is one of the things that made the USAC Trail and especially Indy so cool. We need another spec series like we need another hole in our heads, otherwise we should really "hold down costs" by specifying that everyone drive a 1979 Royale Formula Ford or something.

Let's just get one series together, start walking forward and (hopefully) start to run...
