Engagement

To our marshalling friends who we don't get to see at this time of the year, just wanted to say that PapaJuliet and I got engaged on Saturday.

If anyone knows of racetracks in sunny climates that do weddings?

Congratulations to you both.
I combined mine with an Indy car race in Surfers Paradise many , many years ago, needless to say neither lasted!

It started in Vegas, finish it in Vegas

Check if IndyCar actually put it in as their year end finale double header. 16th October

Congratulations.to you both.

When I got married back in 1981, I told my wife to be that we would have to put the wedding back 6 months as we have not saved up enough, the truth was that the original date in June, clashed the a Formula 3 meeting at Snetts, she was not best pleased when she found out. The good news was after 25 years of marriage she went off with my best mate, so now I can do as many meetings as I want without being nagged!!!!

Congratulations Simon and Philipa.

I got married some years ago on British GP day, the only day our chosen church was free at the time we wanted to get married. We went to the wedding recently of the son of the friends we used to go motor racing with, who still reminded us of that error 49 years on!!

My recommendation is let Philippa choose the date! Mind you, she may still look for a suitable race day in a pleasant location!!

I believe the Vegas doubleheader (if it comes off) will not happen until 2012. If you can't wait that long, how about a nice cozy ceremony at a chicane in France? It means doing without the Flying Elvises (unless 60-bis can oblige) but otherwise...
