Somebody check dis out!
Could I ask a favour of someone to go and check to see if my sites pictures are working @ www.aiex57.care4free.net , and then reply here? The explanation's rather long so I won't go into it.
Thanks in advance to the person who does it! Last edited by touringlegend; 28 Jul 2001 at 00:48. |

touringlegend, I can't see any pictures, just some numbers. (1 and 11).
Looking at your source code, I can't see any references to pictures in it. |

It's the first ever time I've tried uploading pictures. OK I'll tell you how I done it.
First I uploaded all my pictures that I'm using, then I uploaded my Index.htm page. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Should I upload all the pictures and the page I'm using from one folder at the same time? |

But that's not the page I'm trying to upload.
Kelvin, you should know how to upload a page? Is the problem that I have only one page, and am not able to upload thumbnail views linking to bigger pictures. I upload all the file at one time, including the large and small pictures, but my HomePage is not changing!! |

I was looking at your code :

But thats not the page I'm trying to upload. It's another one, the file is called index.htm(l?) and here is the full code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 3.2 //EN"> <p align="center"><HTML> <A HREF="http://www.theaa.com"><IMG SRC="btcc_logo.gif" BORDER="0"></A> <a href="http://www.tocatour.co.uk/ecp"><IMG SRC="logos.gif" border="0"></A> <HEAD><TITLE>Knockhill BTCC Photos.</TITLE></HEAD> <BODY><body bgcolor="#0000FF" background="Other/-jsm%20garage1.jpg"> <p align="center"><font face="Lucida Sans" color="#FFFFFF"><h2>Welcome to the site!</h2><H4>These pictures were taken on the 21st & 22nd July 2001 at Knockhill circuit in Fife, plus the background picture was taken by me and it is of a JSM Alfa 147. <BR><BR>This was my first time using my camera(as I only bought it earlier this year), and I am just a beginner at any type of photography. <p align="center"><img src="ferrier alfa 4.jpg" width="176" height="104"<BR><BR><p align="left">I used a 35mm SLR(Single Lens Reflex) camera with a 35-70mm zoom lens. Not much of a zoom lens yes, but I am saving up my pennys for a larger lens.<BR><BR>E-Mail me at astrafan@btcc.org with any questions you may have</H4></font></p> <p align="center"> <IMG SRC="allan honda(p).jpg" width="280" height="170"> <img src="beaumount honda(p)3.jpg" width="280" height="170"> <img src="bennett astra 1.jpg" width="280" height="170"> <img src="clarke honda(p).jpg" width="280" height="170"> <img src="eaves pug 4.jpg" width="280" height="170"> <img src="vauxhalls@clark's2.jpg" width="280" height="170"> <img src="eaves pug 5.jpg" width="280" height="170> <img src="erdos lexus 4.jpg" width="280" height="170"></BODY> </HTML> Now what I need to know is do I upload the page only, or the page then all the photo files, because currently my page uploads in 3 seconds, so there must be sometjing wrong |

That page with the yellow letters and grey background has always worked.
Do I need to upload the folder containing pictures, and the page, or do I just upload "index.htm"? |

You must upload the pictures aswell, the best rule of thumb when doing webpaging is when ever you include pictures, sounds , and others like links ect. you must upload it, if you do not, when one looks at your page will see open spots where images are sopose to be.

Oh would you? Cheers!
What it is I do, I understand what I have to do is upload the whole file that includes pictures, the web page etc, etc. I did that then all I got was a blank page with the small boxes with the cross in it where the picture would have been. Now I was wondering if I need to upload the pictures to lets say "www.aiex57.care4free.net/files" then when a picture appears on the "www.aiex57.care4free.net" I link it to one in the "www.aiex57.care4free.net/files/picture.jpg" I'm just starting to wonder whether my web page is just that, a page, but they give you an example step by step how to use HTML and they tell you how to make a table and insert a picture in it. I'm not going to change the table now, but I'd love to see a picture to brighten the place up, it's a bit boring looking right now. |

Thanks for the offer of help,
b... b, b, but its working now!!!!!!!!!!! Yeeeha! They've been there all along tucked away at http://www.aiex57.care4free.net/My%20Knockhill%20Photos My Knockhill Photos was the name of the folder maybe it should be Index? Anyway check it out, but I have warned you they are big pictures just made smaller. It takes an eternity to load, if some pics don't come up the first time just click refresh. Now, I'll need to make those picttures into thumbnails.... |
