DaimlerChrysler to take full control of Ilmor

Before the end of year Mercedes will have full control of Illmor. They already have a controlling stake so it isn't that much of a surprise, but it is a little things that seems to indicate that F1 is still a long term plan for Mercedes.

As an aside the Indycar engine side will be sold of to Penske, Illien and (Mrs) Morgan.

Interesting that Penske's buying the IndyCar side - he runs Toyotas in his cars, while Ilmor makes the Honda IndyCar engine.

In terms of F1 - Mercedes have impressed me this year in terms of power and reliability.

Does this mean that Mario Illien will no longer be involved in F1 engine design?

If he isn't involved, i wonder who Merc will get to design the engines? Or, i wonder if they (Merc) will hire Illien as their chief designer?
