Anyway, it seems that Mr Skaife may be heading a consortium of professional sports marketers, and an investment bank, to acquire the Supercar business from Archer Capital.

Since there's bugger all racing going on this week I suppose it makes a nice change from "skaife to make v8 comeback" or "Jason bright to race Indy 500" or "Vettel breaks ankle in testing crash, Webber to substitute" or "Brock back from the dead to win #10.

Tyres are being kicked. There has been mention in the Financial Review that the Archer Capital investment in Supercar will be unwound sometime soon.

Is Mr Skaife the one kicking? Perhaps.. perhaps not...

Would make a great public face for a consortium... their challenge will be unlocking value from their transaction...

Given his business "success" with HRT and the supposedly much cheaper "COTF" Skaife would be the last person in the paddock to get business advice from.However if it gets him out of that commentary booth I am all for it.His blokey hyperbole makes him easily the weak link in the tv commentary team.I long for the good old days of 2015 when they chained him to the desk so we weren't exposed to the 10 cliche vocabulary he fills his race commentary with.
