Tony Harman should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The Oulton Park Classic - 28 Sept - Fianl Round

Well this is it - Final round for most of the BARC Classic Package.
So who's up for it ?
What championships and classes are still to be decided ?
For Classic Clubmans all three classes and overall are still open, I lost my class A lead at Cadwell, now 6 points behind so still a slim chance...
Anyone testing on Friday ?

Well I've sent an entry but I don't hold out much hope for success.

Can't make the car go.

Yep, I'll be there Friday.

Group 1 still up for grabs really. If I win class, or take second with fastest lap I win, or if I don't do that but Will McAteer fails to score a class win with fastest lap I win. Otherwise, rather obviously, he wins.

Steve Cripps in his Escort will be going as fast as he possibly can at Oulton, and so will I!

Tony - its a bit that I cannot be arsed with the schlep and a bit that after Cadwell particularly I feel I need some Yoong time (as presumably it now should be described)

Sorry Monster - all accounted for.

Cubmans is race 1 - should be a cracker, big entry for Class A but championship will be decided from Class B - right now on equal points.

Anyone testing ?

I wish you all the very best of luck, Stacy for the championship, Tony for class glory and the rest of you for pride. I shan't be going, I have done every round until now and so OP is a round too far, 220 miles too far to be precise, and having already been to the rarified atmospheres of Croft, Pembrey and Cadwell I'm gonna spend the petrol money, entrance fee and hotel bill on new front wings and a spoiler(amongst other things) and get the car tidied up for next year !
If anyone is particularly bored I would like to know which are the 5 CT entrants making the trip....

Thanks, I'll be giving it everything I've got - just have to see if that's enough.

As for CT, the entrants are:

Norman Ricketts Cortina
Graham Price BMW 2002
Colin Stott Capri
Melvin Hooker XJS
Neil Sampson Capri

Reasonable numbers for Post Historics and Group 1 though (22).

There may be some late entries too, hope so anyway.

Cheers SC, we'll do our best. Decided to go testing to try and learn the circuit, been there just once before in the wet. Although forecast isn't looking too favourable at the moment.

Thanks Stacy. It must be great fun to run with such big grids , I have only ever competed in three races with grids of more than 20 !! I guess I should be thankful of the space I get currently racing 10 to 14 car grids but I hope we can improve things for next year.

Saturday should be dry.....

Kaybee & I will be marshalling. Hope to see you & Stacy - if everything runs to time, it looks like we'll have time to get back to the paddock at lunchtime!

Yes, say hello. I may be somewhat nervy and pre-occupied, and if so apologies in advance - and come round afterwards instead!

Hope it's a dry day, for you guys stood out in it more than anything!

Yep, good luck to Stacy and everyone else - though it would be nice to see a little class D Golf winning the G1 championship, even if its not mine...

See you all next year.
