How far do you travel to Marshal?

Just out of interest just seeing how far people travel to marshal? (in the uk)

My normal Distance is to Silverstone from Rotherham so about 110 mile 1 way.

Am going to try other circuits soon tho

Silverstone is pretty local
Mallory & Rockingham just over an hour or so away
Lydden - well worth 130 miles each way

Cheers, David

Oulton is my nearest circuit, about 80 mile round trip, Anglesey is another regular trip, about 100 miles each way. Silverstone and Rockingham is about 260 mile round trip. I go to Knockhill once a year, and Brands at least once a year but I don't want to think how far they are.

From Herts I will travel to lydden, brands, thruxton, pembrey, croft, angelsey, goodwood, snetterton, donnington, cadwell, oulton

but that list is rapidly reducing as the cost of petrol goes up.

Oulton from Stoke takes about 45 mins in the morning and about 55 mins coming home.

Donington (ONE "N") is roughly the same, with Mallory an extra 35 mins or so.

Anglesey........well we normally stop off for a picnic then a little later for an ice cream in Llanfairfechan, but I guess a non-stopper would be just over 2hrs.

Silverstone is about 90 mins and Castle Comb around 2 1/2 hours (Again we normally stop off for foodage!)

And like Dave.......Montreal - about 7 1/2 hours!

My god that's a long way to go from Rotherham, Cadwell, Donington and Mallory are the 3 circuits I tend to have down to travel from Rotherham but I do have 1 silverstone and hopefully ( if tickets arrive ) an angelsey weekend in a fortnight.

Cadwell Park is my favorite so far though.

So far, I've done

Mallory: 10 miles
Donington: 15 miles
Cadwell: 80 miles

With Silverstone and Rockingham closer than Cadwell, I've got enough circuits to keep me busy for most weekends within 100 miles. I dare say that I'll visit circuits further afield in due course, too.

I`m from Sheffield and marshall at Cadwell, Oulton, Croft, Donington, Silverstone and Mallory Park. Donington is the nearest which is an hour away. The others about 2 hours ish and 200mile round trip. It`s a pain because your knackered at the end of the day but least you have no traffic in the morning!!!!

p.s. Driving a Ferrari at Donny tomorrow as a birthday pressie so can`t wait. If I bin it at the old hairpin I will never live it down.....

For us thruxton-10 mins,
Silverstone and brands-1hour-ish
rockingham, donny,mallory,pembrey-2 hours
oulton-3-4 hours
croft-4-5 hours

Cadwell did 2 years ago 5+ hours

Every year we try and do circuits that we have not been to yet (long distance ones)
But as someones already mentioned price of fuel is know becoming a big factor and also taking friday and mondays off to get to and from those circuits cuts into holiday time.
However each year we do shoot off to a circuit in europe, obviously living in the south, were close to ports ect...

Doing all these this year - 95% of them in my motorhome. All mileages are one way.
Brands 242 miles 5 hours
Goodwood 189 miles 4 hours
Knockhill 515 miles A day - flying
Silverstone 225 miles 5 hours
Anglesea 370 miles 8 hours
Croft 375 miles 8 hours
Rockingham 273 miles 6 hours
Mallory 240 miles 5 hours
Donington 246 miles 5 hours
Pembrey 213 miles 4 hours
Snetterton 318 miles 7 hours
Thruxton 156 miles 3 hours

Can someone PLEASE build a circuit down in Devon/Cornwall?!!! The cost of fuel, if anything, will be the governing factor for my choices next year. One year when I drove up to Knockhill in the motorhome (did Donington on the way home) it cost me over £250 in fuel alone. Goodness knows what that would cost at today's prices - unthinkable!

Oulton, 25 miles,
Anglsey, 100 ish,
Mull, 320 to Oban, then a ferry, and its the last event I would give up, its not the distance/expence, its the events you want to do!

I've done Donington, Mallory, Silverstone, Aintree, Cadwell (I want one in my back garden, anyone got a few million quid spare???)

Im looking forward to Anglesey, Oulton and Snett!
