Dieter Basche
I am looking for biographical and racing information on Dieter Basche, a sports car driver during the 1960's and 1970's. He appears to have raced at Nurburgring several times in this period.
I collect autographs of sports car drivers between 1940 and 1975 and like to have information on the drivers in my collection. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. |

Dieter Basche was a BMW works driver, and also (mainly?) an engineer: he was involved in the development of the BMW Formula 2 car as well. He did some sportscar racing but his focus was on touringcars (I believe he also raced in Trans-Am with the BMW 2002). He later became Head of Audi Sport.

Pass.
Any BMW or Audi experts out there? (you might also ask around over in the touringcar forum) |

You may also want to try the Atlas forum
http://forums.atlasf1.com/forumdispl...?s=&forumid=10 Alot of people from that era post there and it is far from being F1 only. Good luck |
