With Hamilton as teammate? Doubt that. Besides, he didn't really shone at Renault, did he?

Personally, whilst Lewis is a great driver, I don't think he is much of a team person. Especially if he was classed as the #2 in that time. He hasn't been a number 2 before, so why should he settle for it now?
Hopefully with Heikki, he can get some better results than Hammy. |

Heikki will neither be a Mika or a Kimi. He will be an ideal backup to Lewis though. Fast enough to keep him honest, there to pick up the pieces when he goes wrong.
I don't therefore see him winning a title. And if he has Kimi's so called "luck", then that is down to McLaren forgetting how to make a reliable car again. |

Kovi is good. Sure Lewis will be #1 at McLaren no matter what spin Ron puts on it but Kovi is class and this will shine through. Remember, it took a long time for Kimi to finally win the title. Go Kovi!
I'm excited about next year. Kimi, Hamilton and Alonso in different teams with Rosberg & Kovi there too. Shame Vettel isn't in a decent car and then the Bee Ems will be quick too. Could be a vintage season... Last edited by Graz; 14 Dec 2007 at 21:30. |

A good choice by McLaren given the options they had available I think, Kovalinen will make a good number 2 driver.

However, I should imagine he'll become the de facto No.2 when it becomes apparent that Lewis is that bit quicker. |

He's probably a small level below Alonso. Hence Lewis will be kept on his toes, but not troubled to the point where the titles go out of the window.
Also, Kovaleinen will simply be grateful to have a seat and not start demanding number one status! |
