Watched BTCC from Donington when I got home, boy was it wet. carn't complaine about the few spots we had, not even enough to dampen the track.
Some great racing, minis jumping into the Goose neck, and a nice pressy from BRSCC

Biggest laugh of the day-

Rescue-"can I have talk through to the med centre please" (something serious I'm thinking)
Control-"go ahead"
Rescue,to med centre- " have you any travel sickness pills"
Med centre-" I think so, why?"
Rescue- " a sports 2000 driver is feeling car sick, he'll go out to practice and pick some up afterwards"

Posts 17 & 18 in unison!!!!

Thank You

We would like to pass on our thanks to all of you, who made such a big effort to ensure our meeting, firstly ran and secondly ran so well.
We know several of you got moved around, just to enable us to have the right cover.
Some of it actually worked out OK. Having the fire truck at post 19, turned out to be a good move.
Like everything there are some down sides. The flagging at post 4 could have been better. (I am sure Deano will agree with me)

Regards

the flagging at post 4 wasn`t bad, chief M O was flagging at mountain bottom so our medic (andy) decided he wanted to have ago aswell, all in all a good days racing by one and all.never seen so many sports 2000 in one place, they were lineing up all the way from the paddock top.mini`s were brill bumper to bumper racing and not a bad finish time.

I would just like to add my thanks.
First and most important, is a great big thankyou to all of you who made the day 'happen'. A most dedicated team of orange clad multi-skillers any Chief Marshal good wish to have, ensured that the competitors got the opportunity to put on such a good show. So I thank you all for your help and support in carrying out a job well done. Even the 'Safety Car' worked well when it was deployed, which was probably down to the Safety Car Observer!

We had more than our fair share of problems during the day, that at one time it seemed like we were under going an MSA officials training day!

I also wish to thank the BRSCC for the way that they looked after us all in such a generous way. 'Breakfast', a beer at the end of the day, and a very useful gift, all greatly appreciated, thank you.

Can I just add a big thanks to all the Marshalls that Turned out for the day, and especially the chap who had to lug the fire extinguisher up the Hill after my firey exit at barn. I even Had a go at flag waving myself, grabbing the yellow waving and pointing furiously to the couple of litres of oil on the track that didnt catch fire in my engine bay...

Im a little battered, bruised and sore, but thankfully the off in the race wasnt anywhere near as hard as when the car made a bid for freedom at park on the Friday night.. 135 into the braking area and the throttle jammed open.... is not funny.

Once again thanks or all who turned out... Hopefully a few more of our tribe will make the journey to what is (still) one of my favourite Circuits...

Cheers
