Good evening all many thanks for letting me join the forums.
Evening how's everyone doing cheers for leeting join the group my dave's and I'm from North Wales UK only up the road from the Anglesey race circuit.
Right where the action is. Anyone having a few tonight. Here's my pride and joy and also will some help and advise regarding my build as I too want too compete in circuit racing as well. Have started on it but at the same time I've hit a bit of a brick wall regarding the roll cages getting for a Ford probe isn't easy unless I buy from the states again not if they Qualify for our MSA/FIA standards as there's might be different to ours still learning still and enjoying the experience. |

Hi - will be racing at Anglesey with CSCC in a few weeks - come and see us!
There are a number of firms who will custom-build a cage for you, but of course at a cost....eg https://www.customcages.co.uk/bespoke-roll-cage-service , and of course Safety Devices, who have just built one for a friend's Alfa 4C.... I would have thought that a cage meeting US requirements would be OK, but it would be wise to check with Motorsport UK before shopping across the Atlantic |

As Richard has said, welcome to the forums. I'm sure you'll have fun and learn a lot from the bunch on here, just don't take everything to heart what people say, reading things on a forum is a lot different to hearing how someone says it!
Just a quick thought on an American roll cage. A basic thought I know, but if you do go down that route, make sure that the design is going to be suitable for a right had drive car, you don't want a strengthening brace going through where your drivers seat is! |

I forgot too add this on my last post.
There's some information I forgot too mention on my last post.
Its regarding the car its self, Normally with racing people choose the cars then choose a championship too compete in, While as for me the car kinda choose me. I've had it for many years and I just love these cars, sure drive is the wrong place wish it was RWD as originally intended in the states instead Mazda went beep it and go FWD instead. Cheaper and cost affective could be the mustang as the shell and chassis was designed for the 4.6 V8 they were going too use. What Comps if I was too race properly would my ford probe be able too compete in? I was thinking along the lines of classics as there pretty rare and bhp and toque is on par same as for instance ford Capri 2.8. Also rules and regulations what's required in terms of health and safety and of course parts for the build things I have too have installed. know of the fuel cut of switches and battery cut off switches are required. An do of course what modifications are legal or illegal may case bonnet scoop fully functional which I want too add but not bought it yet incase of regulations. |

overseas shipping on a cage from us would be fairly pricey due to the volume unless you can get it sent over with other stuff - plus with import duty and vat on entry you may find it works out easier to get a cage custom made here.
