Bernard Cottrell
Another big name gone - stalwart of BRSCC, SRO, British GT and most recently the 750 Motor Club has passed away from leukaemia.
Over 40 years in motorsport in one form or another from marshal to international senior official, it's hard to fathom the influence Bernard had and impossible to count all the people he mentored or guided in some way, whether simply being in race control or overseeing their path to clerk of the course or steward. |

Had a minutes silence for him @ the Bentley Drivers Club meeting on the Silverstone National Circuit this lunchtime. Rest In Peace mate. |

He didn't pull any punches if you were called before him as cotc, and would normally see your side as well. RIP Bernard.
