A Big Thank You

Hi, its Jason here,

I just wanna say a big thank you to everyone for the overwhelming 'welcome back' I have received since my return to the BTCC. In particular to all of those that made the amazing atmosphere at Thruxton so special, not just for me but for all the SEAT Sport UK Team.

Although I could not hear the crowds from inside the car, I have been told by many people that the noise made during my historic debut win for SEAT was awesome. It sounds as if most people who were at Thruxton will have croaky voices today!

Once again, thanks to you all, I can’t wait for Brands Hatch.

See you there…..

Jason

I certainly have, but can't remember shouting or cheering that much!

Well done on achieving your first victory with seat.

Well deserved win Jason - I loved the tactics in the first race to ensure the grid position in the second!

Hi Jason,

Was on Post 10 (outside of Goodwood) all weekend, your win was the highlight of a cracking weekend. The only person who was going more mental than us on the run down lap seemed to be you. Must have been a magic moment.

I did wonder which was more satisfying, a maiden win for Seat, or getting a rise out of a cirtain Frenchman?

good luck with brands jason, great result, dont think anyone could see it coming, and a driver and team more deserving of a win.

Hi Jason, an excellent result for you and for Seat. Who would have predicted a win in your first weekends racing? I was marshalling at post 18 and thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend despite the somewhat chilly conditions.

Two weeks time and Brands Hatch Indy Circuit and how do you think the team will do? The last time you were there was of course at the end of the Williams era with the Laguna.

Once again congratulations on the win and it's nice to see anothermanufacturer in the championship. Huffy looked pretty useful as well. It must be his 'training' in Clios

Jason,

Great racing had myself and your favourite female marshal on our toes. normally if she supports anyone we end up pushing them off the gravel/grass. nice to see she didn't jinx you. Hope to see you at Brands not on post but the but the podium again.

Good Luck we will be cheering.

Hi Jason,

Great result! First of many, Marshalled on post 11. I'm glad it was a sprint race, I could not hold my breath for much longer...

You must come for a beer in the Marshal camp site 1 weekend and give Nikki her smoke back (Goodwood)!

Jason, fantastic to have you back and thanks for taking the time to post not only on this forum but a couple of others as well.
It was a great weekend for you, Seat and the BTCC, there wasn't this much hype after the first round last season!!
It's looking good for the rest of the season and with the Seat and the team developing all the time VXRacing aren't going to have it all their own way and that makes a great change.
Congratulations and see you at Brands.

I second that tonyp! It gives a forum that bit more with a well known driver on it, who can give us a view from the driver's side of things!

Really good job you did last weekend, Jason. Hope it continues through out the year,

Welcome to the forum

Just to echo everyone else.................

Well Done Indeed !!!!!

"if those are the rules then let's use them!!" excellent!!

but to go back a couple of years, before you became a tv pundit and succesful oval racer, I must ask about a story that was doing the rounds....

did the Renault Touring Car team actually create a piece of sculpture in your garden, made up of the bits that you had supposedly broken, in the shape of a complete car???

If not then ok, urban myth.....

but if it's true...................

are there any pictures ??????

No, but Jason was able to make a small herb garden from the gravel he was presented with by me at Brands hatch after a famous comment regarding British Marshals. Nuff said and well done Jason.
