Lorna should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Mondello Park isn't til 17 June 2001 but obviously planning to go to Ireland takes some doing - like finding a reasonably priced ferry to take a car over there!

Does anyone know of any good deals by ferry? As taking a flight and hiring car seems the expensive option.

Is anyone planning to make the trip? - passenger availability might be on the cards depending on numbers and planning from my end.

Possible competitions for winning transport over to Ireland, if anyone knows of them is always a desperate but a considerable measure.

Your thoughts and input would be much appreciated.

From a normal every day, not earning a fortune, person.

We are, might I add, looking to camp at Mondello so tents and sleeping bags are a must - begged, borrowed or stolen.

Not sure how much interest you'll get Lorna. BMP, in their infinite wisdom saw fit to schedule this date in direct opposition to Le Mans! I'm gutted cos I really wanted to do both meetings this year

I realise that Craig. No harm in asking, though. Damn shame about the clash of these dates but with so many motorsport events going on in the limited weekends available during the season, something has to clash.

We are going but it's flight and car hire and weeks holiday all in one. Neither of our cars was big enough for 4 and luggage so might as well go for it.

We are trying to get over there the cheapest way possible. I can not believe how much the ferry prices are to travel over to Ireland as it is. If we introduce hire car and accomodation, we may as well go and book a holiday in Greece for a week! At least we will get a tan!

I know - I thought the same. By the time you have spent a day travelling to Ireland, crossing on the ferry - and it's notoriously bad and remember to do that again in reverse then you might as well cough up a flight (especially as we are only an hour from Stanstead).
