How on Earth do I watch a WEC race?
Help other fans out and let then know how you watch the racing. Including the daddy race Le Mans.
I do Eurosport. It is live, it doesn't have adverts, the replays are up straight after the race. Commentary team is the official one. Sometimes I sync with RLM. I tend to mix this up. So my summary: Eurosport
Radio Le Mans
Have I missed anything. How do you watch? Here is the guide from FIAWEC site: https://www.fiawec.com/en/news/how-a...-portimao/7620 Including a detailed list (for Portimao, but I guess it doesn't change much): https://press.fiawec.com/assets/file...dece2cc80.pptx Last edited by Adam43; 16 Apr 2023 at 20:36. |

Little more motortrend on demand info:
Location - United States. Not sure of Canadian offerings Cost - $5 monthly, $45 annually, free 2 week trial with unused email (requires (not new) credit card, up to you to cancel) Stream source - official wec - martin Haven, graham Goodwin, ant Davidson Quality - as good as your internet source Commercials - No! Sessions - qualifying and race. Practice not streamed Replay - usually races are immediately available, though comprehensiveness is lacking. Bonus - Wheeler dealers including originals with Ed China Conclusion - I don't fret over watching wec in the States. Quite happy to put my money where my mouth is and pay for a service that carries what I like. |

Thanks
I didn't realize it was official WEC with no ads (although thinking about it, why not!). Nice. What else do you get with Motor Trend? Other than this and Ed. I'm thinking I might invest (it would save the flights to Europe for me to enjoy ), although I do use Eurosport for their cycling too. |

The entire race was apparently streamed for Brazil on the official WEC youtube channel, using a VPN and switching to a Brazilian IP seems like the easiest way to watch to me. |

I buy the WEC Le Mans streaming package and it specifically mentions this year it is not available in North America.Only place in the world you can’t get access.
BTW I can’t recommend it enough. For 13€ you get live and on demand access to all practice/qualifying sessions and the race.If watching the race live doesn’t suit your time zone they post each hour separately shortly after that hour is done so you can easily go through it in blocks of time. |

The 'Discovery+ Entertainment & Sport' channel is available on a month-by-month basis via Amazon Prime.
This gives you access to all the Eurosport extra channels to watch the full race without adverts. Plus lots of other Discovery content. Also saves adding another app and set of logins to your SmartTV etc. |

Discovery + can also be accessed through amazon prime. You will need to pay but you can watch it via prime
Only thing I am not sure if the features on Prime are the same as on the Discover + app and website i.e on demand re watch of the race, option with no add breaks I think discovery + might be better option than the WEC App. Discovery is 7 pounds per month and the WEC app is 7 euros per race. And i find the WEC app still clunky as well as their web browser so discovery might be better optimised for user friendliness and video quality. You also get other sports and other shows/documentaries for a monthly for the price of a race on the WEC app |

Do the Discovery + (ent & sport) direct with them for the £6.99 month in UK
Use through a Firestick and now have an unltd sim card and router as time split split between locations in UK (and have ditched broadband and expensive internet that wasn't that great plus TV package especially as not there quite a bit). |

I watched Sebring trackside - the best place to watch a race imo! Not sure about Bahrain and such. Travel is the only disadvantage when not having a race in your backyard so I'll have to come up with a plan for next year (maybe I'll plan a trip to Brazil???)
