He's overrated and if he tries cheating in the British series they'll toss him

He's set to test for Promatecme before Christmas is all I've heard. Watch the site as I'll update any news as I get it.

Looks as though next years grid could be really strong.

i´m really looking forward to next year, i´ve never seen him racing so i will not judge him, anyway everybody says he was cheating, this won´t be possible in british f3, so it´ll ne interesting how good he really is

Well he's got the equivalent of like 3 F3 seasons under his belt in mileage, so i wont be surprised if he's competitive next year

sure, he´ll always have the advantage of more money and more testing, but on the other hand the pressure on him will be much higher than on other young drivers...

He had something like 6000miles of F3 testing before his first start, plus all of this years experience, plus his illegal testing, plus unlimited funds. He basically has to dominate next year. And dont give me the excuse of pressure. Id take all the pressure in the world for more experience than the rest of the grid and more money.

surely he isnt the first "son of a rich man" to come along.... get over the "so called" cheating and wait to see where he races next year - then judge him

nelson piquet was my first f1 hero - cant wait to see what piquet jnr does....

"So called" ? he was in clear and blatant violation of the testing rules. and yeah he's not the first guy to have a bottomless budget, but I cant think of anyone with as much testing mileage as him. This isnt F1, even though thats what they're fast tracking him for.

Get your point Russfeld , but we have to just see how good he may or maynot be ? I remember some fantastic racing between his dad/ Chico Sarra and Derek Warwick. and Chico had 2 cars he had so much dosh.

I don't care how good he is if he's a cheat. Ross races himself, presumably follows the rules and therefore has the right to be ****ed off about those that don't.

*I don't believe I'm defending Ross!*

Look guys, whether the kid has dosh or not, the money dosen't press the peddles or turn the wheel!

And ok milage gives you confidence, but you have still got to mix it with everyone else on race day. I'm looking forward to see how Piquet jr gets on.

Focus Russfeld ... no unlimited testing or unlimited funds will get you pole positions and race wins if you dont have the talent !!!

What is your problem with Piquet's talent and Piquet's funds ???

Like someone said, if you really are a racer ... you should know better then most that the most important part is the one behind the wheel !!!

no but when the difference in talent is the width of a hair, 6000miles of testing vs 60miles of testing is going to make a hell of a lot of difference. A lot of guys can learn to be fast through sheer reptition.

Talent isnt being born knowing how to drive a race car, talent has to be developed. Thats why experience is so important.

People, there's a difference between doing lots of testing (fair enough, so would I if I had the cash) and illegal testing! And if you are willing to cheat on one thing what else are you prepared to do??

Well, Nelsinho will drive in British F3 next year. His father is looking for a team that accepts "his rulers" because he likes to give his opinion in the team decisions. He's thinking in create an own team like he did in F3 Sudam (Piquet Sports).

If he does British F3, then nothing less than a top five championship palcing, with an impressive second half of the season including at least one win, will do, as he knows F3 cars so well already, only the tracks are new to him. He doesn't seem to ahve the talent of Nico Rosberg, never mind Damon Hill or Jacques Villeneuve, but then Piquet Senior (as he is now known, and always has been) wasn't as good (in most people's eyes) as Keke, Graham or Gilles anyway.
