King Arthur / Tony Watts
Just read on 'Rallycross world' that Tony has left his position as competition director at Lydden Hill. I had heard the rumour but now its official.
Any reason for this? Will he still be involved in rallycross? Will someone be taking over his position? So, any news on this. |

I would assume trying to make a circuit with only 52 days running etc viable is very difficult and keeping costs down must be paramount hence the redundancy. It is a shame and a loss to the circuit.

I'm sure (hope) that Tony will continue to be involved with the events in some capacity.

I wouldn't be surprised to see more "BHP" type days at Lydden. Sprints and motor racing are struggling to break even.

Many of you have asked if since I left Lydden I (and Maggie) will still be involved in Rallycross.
Step 1 - Unfortuntely we are not part of the team for ABH. Step 2 - As to the future - we do not yet know. if we will be required. Many thanks to all who have worked for me / with me. I wish the ABH team all the best. They have a great challenge running the 2 days and I am sure they will do a fantastic job. I / WE hope and wish to see you in 2010. KA aka TW and Maggie |
