Euro 3000
Do I see that right? Only 13(!) cars on the grid this year. That's not much.
Today's times: 1 - Roman Rusinov - GP Racing - 1'49"423 2 - Matteo Grassotto - Traini - 1'49"572 3 - Augusto Farfus - Draco - 1'49"975 4 - Sven Heidfeld - Draco - 1'50"508 5 - "Babalus" - Fam* - 1'50"575 6 - Fabrizio Del Monte - GP Racing - 1'50"666 7 - Gianmaria Bruni - ADM - 1'50"818 8 - Joel Nelson - John Village - 1'50"863 9 - Milos Pavlovic - Energy - 1'51"088 10 - Colin Brown - Traini - 1'51"624 11 - Nicky Pastorelli - Fam* - 1'51"797 12 - Rafael Sperafico - ADM - 1'52"225 13 - Peter Boss - John Village - 1'52"342 |

More evidence that the potential field is being spread too thinly across International F3000, Euro F3000 and TWS. Most of us will know few of these drivers, and probably few will make it to the top.

Bruni and Farfus are the only decent guys in that series. Poor Gianmaria

I don't agree with you, Farfus is good yes, he's a favourite of mine, but I rate Grassotto, Nelson ánd Rusinov higher that Bruni. Rusinov is a quick driver from Russia, I hope hé gets a chance from Minardi in stead of that slow Zlobin.

Draco is a good team. They, Traini and GP Racing are the only teams I reguarly saw testingtimes from on the internet.
The only thing is: were is Imola Racing. Did they quit? Luckily Pastorelli drives at Fama now, but strange they dissapeard? Are they back next week? |

Pastorelli has been doing Italian(?) F3 with Imola Racing, but quit to do Euro3000 - he had originally signed to do Euro3000 with Imola, but they seemed to have pulled out...along with half a dozen other teams.

Pastorelli did/does the Italian Formula 3 championship with Imola Racing, perhaps they decided to stay in F3 and allowed him to participate in Euro3000 with another team.
Before this season he did: 1994: Mini's 60CC 1996: Juniors/Cadets - 6th World Championship 1997: Juniors - 7th Euro Champ., 3rd Dutch Champ. 1998: ICA 100cc - 3rd Euro Champ., 2nd Dutch Champ. 1999-2000: Formula A 2000: Formula Arcobaleno 6 races (5x pole, 3x win, 3rd overall) 2001: Formula Renault 2000 - Italian Champ. 2002: Formula Renault Euro Champ. |

I thought the grids would be smaller this year, but not this small! It surely won't survive into 2004 like this... jiggly_puff, the official website is: http://www.euro3000series.com/ The Tiscali (semi-official?) site from 2002, seemingly abandoned, is: http://euro3000.tiscali.co.uk/ A good Italian site for Euro 3000 news is: http://www.italiaracing.net/ (you can translate using something like BabelFish: http://babelfish.altavista.com/) |

I visited Imola Racing website (http://www.imolaracing.it) but they didn't say nothing about his F3000 lineup, also no Italian F3 news despited they're present in it. |

Rusinov stalled at the start, that cost him about 40 seconds. Then he moved up from last to 6th pos.

Sven Heidfeld absolutely got *smoked* by Roberto Gonzalez of all people back in the FC Euroseries. Pretty safe to say which Heidfeld got all the talent. Here is a clue: it doesn't rhyme with "ven".
