Obtaining a National A licence

If I have a National B Licence and want to get the 6 signatures to upgrade to National A, are there enough events between the New Year and the new Racing Season to do this?

You don't have to wait until the new year to start obtaining signatures and any obtained on your current licence can be carried forward to your 2011 licence. You don't say which class of racing that you intrend to compete in but there are still several club meetings and winter series taking place before the end of the year.

There are even enough events between now and the end of this year to collect six signatures. (Just about).

Things to remember....

you can only get two signatures per permitted event so if it's a two day event and you take part in 3 races you'll still only get two signatures. However if it's two one day events and you do 2 races each day you could get 4 signatures.

You can get one signature for a days marshalling.

If the race you're taking part in is over 10 laps long it's classed as an endurance race and as long as you have completed 10 laps you can get a signature even if you don't finish (useful in two driver events etc.)

Chhers for the info guys, the reason for needing to collect signatures after Jan 1st is because the B license probably won't be obtained until then. It'll be to do Formula Renault, but it isn't for me. Long story, watch this space...

I presume this is a foreign driver who is moving to the UK to do FR?
If so, do they already have a licence in their own country?

I don't know who it is yet, I'm in the process of putting together a team and will be running a competition to find a new driver. Should be marketing it in the next few weeks
