Clearly the conditions were not suitable for racing. But I was sat on the sofa doing absolutely nothing for three hours (except one chess match, and I'll have you know that I won that chess match), so if that's not a 1, I don't know what is.

At least it wasn't a processional snooze fest and because it was Spa, 5.

1, only because 0, as in zero green-flag racing laps, wasn’t an option.

Agreed. In my 60 years of following (and I'm sure prior is included), the only other debacle even anywhere near close was 2005 at Indianapolis. But even then, there was at least actual running......

It would have been 1, but I upped it to 2 because of George Russell's result.

Surely this poll should only be out of 5 not 10 for this race

Mind boggling tedium of a procession behind the safety car with no overtaking.
And still better than Monaco. |

Is this a prelude to the new "Green" version of F1 where the only action is simply some form of qualifying?
Maybe just the sprint race - run as a car by car sprint? |

Gave it a 4, because the Grand Prix (which is what we are rating) includes Qualifying and the heroics and outcome of qualifying was pretty good.
Lack of a race was of course a disappointment, hence only a 4 overall. Have to question why Grands Prix are held at such a damp and weather-impacted location - maybe cross all of Europe off the host venue list! (tongue in cheek emoji - for those who take everything too seriously). |

"Have to question why Grands Prix are held at such a damp and weather-impacted location ..."
This particular problem will be solvable when the show is all electric and can be run indoors. Or at least under a roof of some sort. That would be a large investment for Spa of course, but the Belgians might reactivate Nivelles. As I recall most of the track is now an industrial estate so there could be potential for opening a few doors here and there and adding some roofing runs between them. Rain problem solved. |

I gave it a 1.
If possible, amend it to -4 please. Screw you race control, for this farce. Just don't start the damn thing if you can't race. Booh! booh! booh! |

They tried. Didn’t work. Shame. If hey hadn’t we’d have
“Screw you race control, for his farce, you didn’t even try to hold a race”. I think whatever people will throw insults at them. |

I agree with Lewis in the post-"race" intervirew.
"They knew when they sent us out at the end there that the track wasn't any better and they did it just so that we could start 2 laps behind the safety car which is the minimum requirement for a race. I really hope the fans get their money back today" The intention was never to start the race, just to get the token laps in. That's the part I find disgraceful, and that why I say: 'screw you, race control'.' -- Hamilton said: “Money talks. And it was literally, the two laps to start the race, it’s all money scenario. The only reason I gave it 1 was that zero wasn't an option. The notorious 5 car Indianapolis race did at least feature cars running at race speed for the entire distance.I would have found it more palatable if they had hung on until there wasn't time to complete a race and then declared the event null and void-but that might have had financial ramifications somewhere along the line, which would never do.

After The Lulu/Max Silverstone controversy, the craziness of the start, restart and then Vettees DSQ at Hungary, and now this...whatever it was, I cant believe, that Im saying this, but Im looking forward to a nice, straightforward, dry, controversy free race at Zandvort, where the fastest car and driver gets pole, and I go to bed Sunday night knowing the winner won because he drove the best car and was the best driver.
Just a nice simple car race so I can catch my breath And in case I forgot to say it F1 is so boring these days |

Like others on here I would give it a zero if I could. The undisputed winner of the most farcical GP of all time. Even Indy 2005 seems like a classic compared to this.

I was at Brands all day so didn't have any idea what was going on until I put the highlights on to watch the race quickly before going to bed (the new series of Vera took precedence ), I fast forwarded through what I assumed was the usual pre-race 'mush' until I realised I'd actually fast forwarded past the end of the 'race'. Thanks to the weather, the correct score here is a '0' but as it was half points, it gets -0.5....
