FIM Winners Game ---> Turkey
Third GP of the Summer Cup (Turkey).
I don't know what to say here, so I will pass quickly to the rules ...Ummm, in fact I don't know why I repeat the rules every thread. In fact I don't know anything... bad omen for my guess this round. I'm afraid marcus can overtake me in the championship. It is so scary. Rules are: ---------------------------------------------- Object of the game: You have to guess the winner. You can put one, two, three or four riders as winners. Scoring: If you put one rider and he wins, you get 4 points. If you put two two riders and one of them wins, you get 3 points. In case you put 3 names and one wins, you get 2.5 points. If you choose to put four names, and one of them wins, you get 2 points. If you fail to guess the winner, you get 0 points. Time limit: Guesses can be done until one hour before the first race (125, 250 or MotoGP, whatever it is). Usually it will be one hour before 125 race. Remarks: Every FIM GP three guesses can be entered: for 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP. Those are three differents games, so you can enter only one or two categories if you like. Appart from the three classifications (125, 250 and MotoGP), I'll put a "global" classification adding all of them. The key of the game is to predict the winner putting the least possible numbers of candidates. But if you put too few riders, you risk getting 0 points! Example: Let's suppose in Jerez you put the following guesses and the real winners are Simoncelli, Angelis and Rossi: 125 = Simoncelli, P.Nieto, Lai (you get 2.5 points for Simoncelli) 250 = Porto, Dovizioso (you get 0 point, you failed) MotoGP = Gibernau, Rossi (you get 3 points for Rossi) Good fun for everybody |

Schummy, for this round I will give my predictions via PM to yourself if this is ok? A few members did this last year so hopefully that will be acceptable once again this year.

The custom is to put the guesses in the thread, except for the leaders in the last rounds or if someone wants to guess before the thread is opened (and he/she will not be available later).
But if you want to PM your guess, it is ok for me, but, please, next round we will come back to guessing in the thread. Probably part of the fun is chatting here about the guesses Good luck! (but a bit less luck than me ) |

I think I will wait as late as I can to try to "yahoo" the weather the best I can. I will try to remain awake but for sure I risk to get sleepy and forget to put the guess in time (as I did last year )
(Ummm... I don't know how to fit those irish smileys into my messages... anyway good luck and for all!) |

Yahoo (that is, the weather service) says there is a 30% chance of rain and a "winterish" ambient; I suppose at minimum the track is going to be wet-wetty.
I have had a look at the qualifying wet sessions to get some info about wet weather form... I hope I don't get it horribly wrong 125cc: Bautista, Pasini, Meglio(!?) 250cc: "Lollipop" Lorenzo, "Wet" West (If I don't put him, I will have problems with the aussies here ) MotoGP: Vermeulen, Capirossi, Gibernau, Rossi (I have learnt the hard way to not let him out) BOTTY: 125cc: Bautista 250cc: Lorenzo MotoGP: Vermeulen, Capirossi, Rossi (this is smart from BOTTY, isn't it?) BTW, SALEEN has guessed by PM as he said formerly in the thread. Where is Dani? Where is knowlesy? Where is all the other peopleeEEeeEeE? |

It's 55 min before the first race. Thus the guessing time is closed.

Seeing as the first race is at 9:45 for 125cc id say no for the 125's. But the 250s and Moto GP dont start for a couple of hours so...

That's what I thought....well, I'll put them in anyways, they can always be cancelled. So in that case I'll put a sneaky 125 guess in as well, as a sort of vain hope.
I wouldn't mind, I was up at 7:00 but fell asleep again! Big and unreasonable gamble time: 125cc: Bautista 250cc: Lorenzo MotoGP: Gibernau |
