European F3 Open 2012
2012 schedule is out. The series continues to headline its own package with GT Open, with quality supports and guests.
Nurburgring, Hungaroring and Paul Ricard (new home of the French GP?) added in place of Jerez, Magny Cours and Valencia. Portimao, Algarve Nurburgring GP Spa Brands Hatch GP Paul Ricard Hungaroring Monza Barcelona The new Dallara F312 arrives, with the F308 becoming the Copa Class mainstay. The F312 will feature a rear-wing DRS, as per the new Dallara FR3.5 car. Dunlop tyres have renewed their commercial support and the live TV package is to be enhanced with all races expected to be covered live across Europe, as opposed to the 12 that were covered this year, with additional territories also likely to take the satellite feed to add to the extensive coverage already received worldwide in 2011. Race meetings also feature a slight shake-up with reverse grid races being dropped and an additonal qualifying session expected to be added. Series organiser expect to limit the grid to 24 cars in order to continue to ensure teams have pit garages at all times possible (perhaps everywhere except Brands Hatch where they were used only for the GT Open in 2011). Expect grids to be equally split between the newest chassis and the Copa F308. |

if ricard is the new home of the french gp i think everyone will have fallen asleep after a few laps. it's not a racing circuit, that's for sure
that's a cracking calendar. the timing seems pretty impeccable too with the euroseries falling over with its feet in the air. looking forward to seeing who ends up being on the grid! |

Suggested to me that Ricard and Spa will alternate from next year, with Spa first.
Could be true, who knows? Possibly the place would have a facelift for that anyway to make it more suitable. |

Lam Pak, oh darling! Oh you look lovely in your mug shot but China is too far for a low cost series like EUROPEAN F3 Open.

Campos Racing returns next season to European F3 Open
Good news for the championship. They will run 2 F312 so the grid will be better in number and in quality of cars. |

Saw Gavin & John from West Tec at the Autosport Show last week sitting down talking to Formula Ford Champion Scott Malvern. That would be a good partnership if they got together and surely a title contender in this championship?

Speaking to people I know the current status looks like in order from last years teams ranking
West-Tec: Jordan Oon Luca Orlandi (suggested more signed but not revealed yet and team ran 5 cars last year) RP Motorsport: Gianmarco Raimondo Niccolo Schiro Matteo Davenia (probably 2 more as also ran 5 cars last year) Corbetta Compezione: Matteo Torta (probably one more as press release says will run 2 cars) Cedars: Noel Jammal (1 or 2 more likely to join the son of the team owner, praps using 08s) Hache: Tonio Fernandez (and one more?) Drivex: Cristian Serrada (perhaps one more) Top F3: Alexandre Cougnaud Pierre Sancecina Devillota: Juan Sistos Tatiana Calderon Valeria Carballo (maybe one more) New teams: Campos: Facu Regalia (one more) Organisers said to be confident of capacity grid which is limited by pit garages available alongside GT Open Last edited by peebee2; 21 Jan 2012 at 12:12. |

About more than 2x less than BF3 It's a pretty damn good deal to be honest, you have good weekend with promotion, car with DRS, great calender and TV.

Cedars have ordered 2 new F312. They will run 2 F312 and 2 F308 this year.
The grid could be really big for this season. |

Trino Rojas is last addition for 2012 season. With previous experience in karting, Venezuela´s young driver is going to drive a RP Motorsport´s Dallara F308 in Cup class.
