Aston Martin & Mustang crash, Brands Hatch
Did any one get any photos of the Aston Martin (number 72?) and Mustang crash at Westfield on Sunday 29th April during the heritage GT race? The reason I ask is that I was the marshal who dragged the driver out of the Aston whilst it was on its side in the gravel. I know that there were a few people on the inside with cameras but they had moved on by the time the race was over.

There were no official photographers there at that time, only around 8 spectators. I saw some of them with cameras just before the crash happened.

I was there on the inside at Westfield but do not take photos. But there was a guy and his son videoing the whole thing next to me. Chances of him being a member of this forum

Thanks for that. I'll keep my fingers crossed. From your point of view, what did you think of the crash?

Did not see the begining of it only picked it up as the cars entered the gravel as I like to stand just down from the bump which blocks the view of the entry to the corner.
Precarious position the Aston ended in though, what I did notice was loads of fuel coming out of the Aston's filler cap (Dodgy!) Always think it is a real shame when theese classics of our past get damaged though, but hey that's racing sometimes. |

Looks like the photographer was a Mr Bloxham. Near an accident. Shock.

The photographer was Jeff Newport. I have just been emailed his contact details so I will wait and see if I get any shots of the incident.
