2004 F3 Champion?
Adam Carroll!
hopefully Carlin will want him and we'll see what he can do with a Honda engine. imo he's the most talented F3 driver since Sato. |

Bit of a punt I know but I would love to see Westley Barber with a good F3 team. Second time around would be very different for him.

If Will Power stays in F3 and with a good Team then the most talented driver to come out of Australia for several years will be a good chance at the title.

A bit harsh, surely?
Mind you, the gravity field associated with a black hole could explain why he keeps attracting the likes of Michael Keohane and Ernani Judice to bump him off the track..., And you'll be laughing on the other side of your face next year, you just wait and see! |

i'm suprised so many people have picked Piquet. i'm pretty sure he won't be in F3 next season.
and i didn't know it needed £400k for a Carlin drive, sure you don't mean £40k? i don't know where Carroll would get that kinda money, he's had enough financial problems in his career already. here was me hoping Carlin would sign him because he's the most talented driver. where did Jamie Green get the money for Carlin? he came straight from karts so he can't have had much time to find a backer. Isn't Paul Fletcher (PF International) Jamie Green's backer?

Green had a year of F Renault and was nominated (winner??) in the Autosport young driver award so he got a fair bit of exposure and had something to sell to sponsors.
As for Piquet being in F3 next year, I think he will, he's only 17 now and another year will do him good, give him a bit more experience too. |

I've heard a Carlin budget is around £400,000 per driver. Jamie is backed by Paul Fletcher and a few other smaller backers. I don't know if Trevor Foster is backing him financially or just advising.

its actually more like 450 k for a carlin drive - adam caroll i really think the guy is a talent that should be backed - strange no one actualy even thought of karun chandok or steven kane one guys been bloody quick in a scholarship class car the other heads the champonship and has damon hill to manage him. nelshino well logically is uppose he is a candidate but grrr it leaves a bloody bad taste in the mouth .... i just wish nico would switch to the british series

I just don't get the whole Piquet fascination, you know. He may well have the points to show for something, but he isn't an interesting driver, in my opinion. And there's a rumour in the paddock that (a) Honda are giving his team preferential treatment on account of his Dad winning the F1 championship with them, and (b) that he's using a "special" engine for qualifying, cos his frequent high grid slots and poles are just not matched by his performances in racing (or testing for that matter). I mean, can you recall him ever actually overtaking any of the other top ten drivers for position on the track when they haven't got a problem?
People dis Alan Van-Swerver's dominance of this season on the basis that he's in the best car and he was racing in the series last year - but that applies to two of his team-mates too. But nobody points out that Piquet is basically driving the same Dallara F303 Mugen Honda, and is in the privileged position of being the centre of attention in his team with the backing of his far from poor family, plus he hardly has trouble attracting sponsors, thanks to his name. So there. |

No, Muppet, me old pal. I just bl**dy hate the way everyone's treating Half-Nelson like he can do no wrong, when, to be honest, all he ever does is do things wrong. I mean did you see the way he jinked across in front of Van-Swerver at Rockingham on Sunday? Dangerous if you ask me. Git git git git git.

PS - and if I had been driving the fire truck, there would have been no way Piquet's car would've been ready for the next race!
