Le Mans Classic 2020
I happen to have July 2, 3, 4 and 5 off next year, so might be doing the Le Mans Classic for the first time. But as 2020 is a bit of an expensive year, I'd like to do it on a budget. Do tickets for General Entrance and Campsites (preferably Blue Nord or Maison Blanche) appear available often on auction sites (you know the one) or forums, with a bit of a price reduction, hopefully?

If one of the Triumph guys sells his TR campsite ticket on the internet, and I'd buy it, can I enter the site with my Berlingo, or do they keep a "Triumph Only" policy?

Well last time i was on the site during the classic there were quite a few non triumphs there. buying from the club is very expensive as they do a package including tickets but closer to the time people get desperate to get some money back especially if they need to spend the money repairing the car they had intended to use. However if we go we tend to use MB now. Might be going but not sure yet, still waiting to see if ACO sort out main race tickets

There is a dedicated thread on the Historics section on the forum in case you were unaware .
My first time last time, can't recommend it enough. Plus the Endurance Legends (1990S and 2000s cars will now be racing. Stuff like the Bentley Speed 8 thats been racing this year. |

Group C will also have a race at next years event, along with the aforementioned ERL. According to Peter Auto, ‘two other manufacturers races will complete the competition’s allocated track time’, but no further info on them. We’ve had the Jaguar Challenge last couple of times, but that seems to be dying a bit with JLRs ‘financial constraints’ and maybe FE obligations.
Whatever, it’s the one historic meeting where I willingly pay to spectate and just be part of. Have slept in Houx in the van last couple of times, and as a bonus was privileged to race on both occasions. Here’s what (co driver) Joe and me won for the car owner in 2016. Think Richard Mille watches are well beyond my budget! |

The first entry lists have been released, and there’s a link on the HRT LMC thread. Several tenthers due to be racing, including Australian Adrian Brady with his Gp5 BMW320i, and his countryman Dr Robert Ingram in his Elite. Looks like I’ve got drives in Plateaus 1 & 3 if all goes to plan....

probably better given their value to leave at home and go in Endurance Racing Legends cars or official Grids that get a better slot |

Not sure if up here before but they've tinkered with order so Grid 4 starts which is good but Saturday night becomes a bit boring.
Rather than staying up till just after midnight and seeing 4, 5 & 6 scream round with discs a glowing.... Grid 3 now starts at 23.30 with best stuff in the real small hours (IMO of course) and Sunday pm is a bit dull. |

Does that mean the mazda will be in the group c race or just a demo, not sure mazda will want to risk the most valuable asset they have in a race

The ‘tweet’ (I think) I’ve seen from Peter Auto doesn’t say if it’s racing or not. Apparently the appearance is in conjunction with Mazda France.....
Which races are mostly a demo? |

I thought that the speed differences between the cars was such that most cars were driving their own race. Happy to be corrected
