Mine for Robbie:
I'm biased, but I also know just how good he is, and without the problems he had at Monza he would have had at least two podiums and probaly a win and a podium. The boy can still win it! |

Anyone have prior racing exerpeince at Valencia to speak of? Its not too common a track for most single seater championships.

Robbie certainly hasn't presume some of the Europeans have, but don't know which ones.
Did FRV6 go there last year? If so half the field has raced there |

FRV6 has never been to Valencia and I can't think of any of this year's bunch who would have raced there before, although some may have tested in FR2000 etc

i'm obviously going for ryan for 2 reasons:
1)i'm biased 2)ryan seems to learn tracks really quickly when he goes to them!!! |

All good drivers will learn a track in less than 20 laps - maybe as few as 10 laps. The team having been to a track before, and knowing how to set the car up is infinitely more important than the driver having past experience.

From their performances at Monza, it looks close between Rob Bell, Ryan Sharp and Alx Danielson. Sharp is driving for Neel Janis ex team Jenzer and set the pace at Monza, much like Jani did at the final at Monza last year winning both races from pole. Now that Neel is with DAMS (who are supposed to be the team to beat) things arent looking to good for the championship.
Rob Bell is just doing a great job with his team. I know they rated Shimoda very highly within the team, and Bell is miles better. Kerr seemed to have setup problems both races and did not at all look comfortable in his car. If they sort it, and he get back to his usual form he will be right up there. Alx Danielson came from nowhere. I have followed Alx racing Fords in Britain and he has always looked hugely talanted, but podium in his first ever "winged car" was surley unexpected. Dont think he and SRTS have the experience to pull it off again at Valencia. Saying all this, Jani was fastest by something like 0.7s during official testing at Valencia pre-season.... |

Also with kerr he had an engine problem all weekend and was having to push really hard to keep up with the pace and that's why he spun
...i think |

I think its more important to know the car than the track. If you know the car, than any track is just remembering the combo of lefts and rights

I suppose Sven Barth and Matteo Meneghello should both be on 1:28s and not 1:27s

If Memo Rojas is showing us the level of last year's Barber series, it really makes me shudder to think about the prospect of Nelson Philippe in Champ Car!!!
