Welcome Yankee SVT.
Never mind if it's been asked before, I'm happy to answer it again. I'm from the Netherlands and when I'm not driving the Lamborghini, I'm trying to wear down my Suzuki Sedan 1.6 16-valve. |

Hi Yankee,
I'm from West Sussex UK Whilst the Ferrari 250LM is in for a service I drive a Nissan 200SX. I also find the new fangled speed bumps in most of our minor roads in the UK tend to damage the 250LM plus the stupid 70mph speed limit means it is still in 1st gear. So to keep it safe, it is wrapped in cotten wool securely garaged in my dreams. Simon |

Minardifan, my man; Let me know when you are ready to buy a Mini. After 33 shining examples, I've had more than any one man should legally be permitted to own in a single lifetime, and I've worked on the blasted things for over 15 years. Guess you could say I know them well. (And then some)
PS - Do NOT get a beetle... Anyways, I currently reside in chilly Suffolk, in East Anglia, England, and I own a '71 Mini 1000 desperately pretending to be an old Mini Cooper S, a partially rebuilt Bright Yellow tube-framed '72 Escort RS2000 replica, and a 1990 Vauxhall Carlton Land Yacht, affectionally known as 'Uncle Navy' to the Yates-Speed race team. |

Welcome Yankee, Another Aussie here from Melbourne.
Recently my bid (of $1) fell through on my Porsche so I'm slumming it in the mean time with a Subaru WRX. Don't know what they're called in US though. Happy posting |

Yankee Doodle!
Yankee,
Like Howdy, I'm from way down south, where the Banjo's play through the broken glass... Coffs Harbour NSW Australia I, like my fellow Australians of good taste drive a Ford '96 Fairmont. When I drive. Usual transport is a BMW K1100RS motorcycle. Don't tell EERO, but my wife was thinking of replacing the Ford. Before I choked the last breathe from her ungrateful body she said she had the desire to drive a Golf! These things come from the home of Ralf himself! But doctor, what does this mean? |

AAAAhhhhh, another American!
I live in southern New Hampshire on the Massachussetts border not far from the coast. I drive a '96 Toyota Tacoma 4x4. I don't know if this counts, but I also have a 2000 Ski Doo MXZ 600 and a '85 Suzuki Quadracer 250. That's a snowmobile and all terrain vehicle for those confused or unfortunate to live in a place where the snow does not fly. Rip It Up.....Wooooooo! |

I live near Detroit Michigan and since Dec I drive a Ford Escape. Previously I had a Ford Explorer. The Escape is great for everything but serious off-roading. Handles much better and a better ride than the Explorer due to all around independent suspenders.
Anyone is welcome to come over for a test drive. |

It would be misleading to state that I have experience driving many different cars (Laxman and I have different philosophies here... ) but the Subie Forester is a lot of fun to drive.... I did take it around some gravel roads with extreme prejudice out in Eastern Oregon, and it certainly did the business!!! (Of course, I did that in the Caravan too, but the results were not as pleasant...(a lot of body work, and a different colored hood!!) btw, It (the Forester) doesn't come with a V6 ... all Subarus have boxer engines, and the 6 is only available on the posh Outbacks... and they are way to heavy anyway.

Well I went for a test drive of a WRX..shame had some people looking at a Forester following so I couldn't give it a good run (and the salesman was in the car too).
Don't forget to play Mazda and Ford off each other as the Mazda Tribute is essentially identical. ---- The lastest movie: A man and his search for his Subaru - Finding Forester |
