SBR to run Fujitsu Series Car in 2007??
According to Motorsport News, SBR have agreed to terms to run a BA in the Fujitsu development series next year.
It seems that the car will run in Tekno colours for Jonathan Webb. Presumably this takes one customer away from PCR's Porsche operation as well... and also the owner of two of the three PCR 911 cars. |

I reckon that if they put into the place the regulation that says each main driver has to compete in enduros in their own car, therefore having to have a genuine co-driver from outside the series, that a lot of teams will do this.
What better training and preparation could you give someone??!! |

So I guess this means Ross & Jimmy weren't too impressed with Seton then? Obviously he now wont be returning to the SBR-fold. . ?

Why do you say that Stevo? Webb and Seton could easily be the 2 guys picked.....of course there are a few holes in Marcos's calender on our enduro weekends next year.....

Hmmm I don't know about that GTR.
I think Russell will push for Youlden. I know Ingall has big wraps on the kid, unless of course Youlden lands a fulltime drive then the point is moot. But Youlden placed higher than Seton in the solo prac sessions, so I doubt they'd go for Glenn over Luke. But you never know... In fact Seton will be on the Panelbeaters tonight so there's one way we might be able to find out some interesting info re next year . . . |

Is Youlden in line for any main seats himself?? PWR maybe??
no-one seems to be able to come up with someone for that seat. Luke has been quick for a long time now and deserves a go I reckon.... |

he is the only development series winner (ok he lost on a countback but still scored as many points) to not get a main game drive

But that always concerned me about Youlden. He never won outright. He was leading due to consistency. I question whether or not Luke has the grunt in the belly to be aggressive enough to battle with the top guys.
I think he's a smart smooth steerer but do we need another Steven Richards? |

I've seen him put some moves on in the Caltex car over the last 2 years that would have had Russell gasping for air!!

Meeeooow.
No need to be defensive sweetheart. Steven Richards is great steerer, a likeable bloke and fair racer... but he ain't a championship winner and never will be. He lacks the bite and if at the top of his game he ain't showing it, then I don't see why he for example deserves the FPR seat. Oh and re "my hero", let's not compare the two in their respective 'heydays' coz you'll come off second best |

They've even won the DS Crown before with Winterbottom driving for them.
I think the "kafuffle" as you put it is that this means Jonathan Webb is likely to co-drive one of the SBR main cars at Bathurst which is a fairly big deal. |

... but as Mr Webb thru the Tekno concern owns/operates two of the three PCR Porsches (and presumably will not continue with that) it means that other teams (PCR) are impacted by the choice of pilot for SBR. It also likely brings to a conclusion the much rumoured signing of Mr Bowe to PCR as well, as the powder room had suggested that Mr Webb may have been interested in assisting in the sponsorship of this move, as a development exercise for his son. Similarly, it suggests that SBR shall build a shiny new chassis (presumably for Mr Ingall) for the last year of the BA's life.... (would hate to think that the dual championship winning Ambrose car would end its days in the development series ) |

It would be a huge mistake on both the Stone Bros if they let Seto go for next year. He has done everything they asked to him to do in 06. It worries me sometimes the way team owners make stupid dissions, just at HRT over the last two months.IMO. |

With no Webb or Marshall money, PCR will be needing to find some other sucker with deep pockets to keep funding their dream. Anyone in the development series got that kind of wedge?
