Daytona qualifying penalties assessed

Daytona qualifying penalties assessed. Wow, teams starting off with a deficit of points.

Good,it shows that NAscar is not playing any favorites and I like it,meaning you get caught pay the price.Dosent matter if your a former champ or a contender.

Well, there has been one more penalty. Jeff Gordon will start in 42nd position for failing post race inspection. His car was approx. an inch too low. Nascar has deemed the infraction as accidental yet Jeff still must start in 42nd.

Accidental is the grey area here.
Most opinions I`ve seen are from an Oliver Stone novel. Any other driver though, and the you`d wonder if the benefit of the doubt would exist.

One inch less of a spoiler is huge at speed!

I loved Jeffys remarks when a reporter asked Jeff what the penalty should be for him. That was classic.

According to Ed Hardin, a well respected columnist, in today's News-Record of Greensboro, NC the Michael Waltrip cheating scandal is far from over. This is good reading:

That made me laugh!

Very interesting article, though it seems a little biased to me. I'm sure this one will run and run.
