Project Blueprint 12months on
After 12 months with Project Blueprint, do Holedn cars in 04 have to be full spec VY or are they going to be run as the pretend
VY as this year. All the new FORD in 03 had to be BA so what is happening on the Holden side of the fence. Personally if it is not a full spec VY it is not allowed to run in 04 |

4 me there is NO excuse for a L1 team not to be running current spec cars ie BA/VY .
teams like the Brock's /K-Mart and so should take a look at them selfs and HRT to a point how long did it take for HRT to go full VY and That's a factory team . Consider that Morris has basicly build two VY this year as has team Dynamik God Tratt has even upgrade so what is Brock's excuse If a L1 team doesn't run Full current spec cars then they should be not allowed to run I'm with you TSR Last edited by Mark Webber; 29 Nov 2003 at 07:23. |

just another reminder of what happens when holden wants to do something, all the governing bodies seem to bend over to please holden. considering holden thought they were behind the 8 ball & wanted to go to the ford front suspension & ford style cylinder head they are now complaining that they need more time to complete the changes for whatever reasons and they wonder why the serious motorsport fan thinks this series is a total crock of sh*t

Who cares what Holdens run- the VX is as fast as a VY, and a HMS is as fast whatever the other engine is. Let em run a tractor... if it is as fast as everyone else...

TEGA have screwed Blueprint by allowing Holden teams to continue to run their choice of 4 variants to vehicles, making it impossible to use any as a yardstick. That's not a Holden bash, it's simply laying blame where it needs to be.
Had TEGA said no, you MUST run either a full VY or full VX (to put model availability at least on an even keel) we wouldn't be continuing this discussion. But no. An apparent lack of parts has seen teams unable to source HMS motors till late in the season, and now my last understanding is that the 18 degree motor will still be an available choice for next year. If that's the case, scrap Blueprint entirely, and put the Commodores back to their own suspension. This has become a joke now, but that's apparently only our opinion, and since when does that count in the eyes of the organisers/officials? We only turn up to the meetings, and buy the merchandise.... we can't even vote the buggers out!!!! |

They should not have been alowed to make there own(ford style) head. Ford can't go out and change there head to a better design.

They didn't exactly design there own Ford style head. They simply rummaged thru the Chevy racing parts bin and came up with them.
I think there has also been a whispering of Ford doing the same with the high port Ford heads, GTR might know more? |
