This may not be a totally appropriate place for this but anyway. Whilst the only Championship I can think of for modified cars in the North is the Linton Trailers Sports and Saloon Cars Championship, you might consider the Classic Touring Cars Racing Club's Classic Thunder Championship details are here http://www.csccgb.co.uk/

its a shame that you race in the north as the Barc se / ingear saloon car championship would suit your mini perfectly

What about the Darlington and district race series held mainly at Croft (http://www.darlington-motor-club.org.uk/)

Try www.barc.net for the Northan Special Saloon series, based around Oulten Park and croft, it is nearly ideal, lets you have slicks. Last year a 1460cc mini engined Davrian won the outright championship and spent most of the season playing with Rover V8's and beating Lotus Europa clones.

Hope that helps

There were a couple of Minis in last year's Europa Sports/Saloon Championship, which is probably what Tony is referring to.

The Europa series had several mini's in, and they had there own mini (sorry for the pun) championship with in the main one.

The Davrian is the original Darrian built mainly in the 70's and is a two seater mid engined car. It must be doing something right if it has won the championship.

o no ive been moved.anyway all the championships mentioned i have given thought to previously all have there pros and cons. northen sports and saloons class d i must run all steel panels laminated front screen and treaded tyres which meens changes to the car .classic thunder no cadwell or croft only mallory and oulton park which ill probley do .europa i probley do a few rounds croft and cadwell .i all so gave thought to extreme minis but the cost of joining the brscc £150 championship registration £150 for the one round id do (cadwell) plus entrance fee approx £165 was a bit much for one days racing.how do i get a picture of my mini on here??????

Graham.

Being out of the UK I'm not familiar with the In Gear Saloon Championship. Can you give us a brief outline?

Peter I think its the old Southern Saloon car championship but now sponsored by Ingear Mag. - quite open rules and regs mainly running at Lydden and Silverstone's Stowe and a couple of rounds at BH.
