A tribute to Michel Meunier (WM)

Michel Meunier, the "M" of WM, died several days ago. Here is a page with pictures of all the WM that raced at Le Mans from 1976 to 1989.

May he rest in peace.

He'll take a record with him which will most likely never be broken.

rcarr has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Beautiful cars, RIP Mr Meunier.

One funny thing that I found out about their 84 car; obviously the car was quick down the Mulsanne Straight, their star driver passed all the Porsches and got to the front, but they had brake failure about 3 or 4 hours into the race and the car turned the opposite direction to Mulsanne Corner into the barrier and got absolutely totallled, luckily the driver wasn't harmed.

I have a video with footage of it happening, it looks so strange and funny!

After 4 laps indeed ! The n°23 took the lead in the first lap. The only time a WM leaded the race.

Very sad news. His extraordinary contribution to the world of sportscar racing will never be forgotten. He was indeed a Le Mans legend. May he rest in peace.
