Champ car specs.
Does anyone know a good place to find out specs on the engines and chasis run in Champcar? The official website doesn't have jack.

Welcome to the forum.
Here's that page: http://www.champcarworldseries.com/T...pCar_Specs.asp Not mentioned there is that boost wise they run 41.5 inches of Hg, "push to pass" gets them up to 800hp, redline is 12k. Apparently the turbos are off the shelf ball bearing garret units. The engines get 1200miles (or is it 1500?) out of each rebuild. Once upon a time these engines once ran up to 16k (without pnumatic valve actuation) and before than that produced in excess of 1000hp. Last edited by Snrub; 12 Apr 2005 at 15:16. |
