That's 15 degrees at Posts 9+25 only. Posts 2-8 and 11-24 will have a combined wind chill factor making it feel about +1

Of course that's downstairs at 24, upstairs will prob be in the minuses!

I've just checked Met Office website, 13 degrees now and windspeed is 14 gusting 29mph.
So Brands will be 29mph then.

Wow, that 2nd heat race in the Formula Vees was one of the best races I have ever spectated on. Admittedly Sam Oliviera drove like a champion for a totally commanding win but the 6 car battle for 2nd was utterly epic!! What a great showcase for the category.

The tin tops did it for me
The fiesta going round the outside of the three door cossie at Clearways not just once but about 4 or 5 times only to be passed on the straight was amazing.
Also great driving by the cossie not to drift out on him
Great days racing all round I'd say.

aye that was the best race of the day for me, was on p24 so got a pretty decent view of his attempts, think he even got past the leader at clearway's but yeah the straight was too telling for the fiesta

Good day down at 4a - no carnage - just the usual to keep us happy.
Congrats to the Lotus driver for one of the best overtaking moves ever seen ..until he realised that he'd left his braking waaaay too late.

So that explains why the Fester (on three wheels!!!) almost overtook the Cossie at Druids every time but was behind it again next time round!

Did we find out how the flaming lotus got on?

I thought bonfire night wasn't until a couple of weeks time

Seriously though hope he was ok and didn't get offended by my aggressively waving a fire bottle at him!

in that case seeing my waved bottle at the next post might have been overkill ... but the driver did pull off at P7 so either he got the message or the flames became a bit more obvious to him

you could regret the bonfire night comment .... Nov 5th, Lotus 1000k ... ho hum. I seem to recall we had more than one flamer last year

Just like to say to all of the marshalls at Brands Hatch on Saturday, thanks very much for your dedication and hard work. Brands is always a pleasure to race at You always look so appreciative waving at us drivers when we finish a race. It always puts a huge grin on my face! Keep up the fantastic work, you guys are real pros!

Cheers, Jason (Tin Tops Fiesta #43).

I wouldn't say so, I'm just glad he pulled in soon. One person waving a bottle could be missed, but waving on two consecutive posts obviously worked!

You're very welcome!

There was some grinning at Druids watching the Fiesta sometimes sideways or on 3 wheels and sometimes almost tippy-toeing on one front wheel!

Jason won the DMN series a few days ago. The car is prepared by George Newton, who really knows what he is doing. Also, Jason always drives @ 11/10ths !! He is a very good driver. Despite being Commercial Manager of Cosworth, there are no trick parts on the Fiesta, honest ! It is still a boring CVH on carbs.

Watch out in next year's Cannons Tin-Tops
